First Reading: Deuteronomy 30:15-20
16 If you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you this day, by loving the LORD your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his ordinances, then you shall live and multiply, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you are entering to take possession of it.
17 But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them,
18 I declare to you this day, that you shall perish; you shall not live long in the land which you are going over the Jordan to enter and possess.
19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live,
20 loving the LORD your God, obeying his voice, and cleaving to him; for that means life to you and length of days, that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”

15 See, i have set before you today life and good, and death and evil,
16 in that I am commanding you today to love YAHUWAH your Elohim, to walk in His ways, and to guard His commands, and His laws, and His right rulings. And you shall live and increase, and YAHUWAH your Elohim shall bless you in land which you go to possess.
17 “But if your hearts turns away, and you do not obey, and shall be drawn away, and shall bow down to other mighty ones and serve them.
18 “I have declared to you today that you shall certainly perish, you shall not prolong your days in the land which you are passing over the Yarden to enter and possess.
19 “I have called the heavens and the earth as witnesses today against you: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore, you shall choose life,
20 to love YAHUWAH your Elohim, to obey His voice, and to cling to Him – for He is your life and the length of your days – to dwell in the land which YAHUWAH swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Yitshaq, and to YA’aqob, to give them.”
