Bible Story of the Day
Scripture is the story of Jesus, from Genesis to Revelation. There are over 400 prophecies and representations of Jesus in the Old Testament alone. The Old Testament pointed forward to the coming Christ, and the New Testament points back to Jesus. The Bible is a record of redemption through Jesus Christ who conquered sin and death when He died on the cross and resurrected three days later. The New Testament was written almost 2000 years ago. Some of the Old Testament was written over 4000 years ago. The Bible Story of the Day not only shows Jesus throughout scripture but shows how scripture is relevant to our lives today. Seeing Jesus in scripture is a major step into understanding who our God is, and how He impacts and affects our lives in every moment. I pray that the Holy Spirit opens your mind to understanding the verses and how they affect your life and gives you a better understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ. I will post a link to the chapter that each passage is from, so that you can read further on your own.
Thirst
Leviticus 23:33-43
33 Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 34 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the Lord. 35 On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work of any kind. 36 For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the Lord; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work.
37 ‘These are the appointed times of the Lord which you shall proclaim as holy convocations, to present offerings by fire to the Lord—burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each day’s matter on its own day— 38besides those of the sabbaths of the Lord, and besides your gifts and besides all your votive and freewill offerings, which you give to the Lord.
39 ‘On exactly the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the crops of the land, you shall celebrate the feast of the Lord for seven days, with a rest on the first day and a rest on the eighth day. 40 Now on the first day you shall take for yourselves the foliage of beautiful trees, palm branches and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days. 41 You shall thus celebrate it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year. It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 You shall live in booths for seven days; all the native-born in Israel shall live in booths, 43 so that your generations may know that I had the sons of Israel live in booths when I brought them out from the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.’” (NASB).
Where is Jesus and What Does This Mean to Us?
The Feast of Booths is also known as the Feast of Tabernacles. The Feast of Booths occurs five days after the Day of Atonement. The feast is a joyous, celebration after the Fall harvest has been collected. The Lord commanded the Jews to have this celebration in honor of God’s provisions and protection during the 40 years in the wilderness after the Exodus from Egypt. The feast was used as a way of continuing tradition and reminding each generation of God’s deliverance of His people from Egypt.
The Day of Atonement is also known as Yom Kippur. This day was considered the most solemn, holy day of all the feasts and festivals in scripture. This is the day the people brought their sacrifice to the priests to atone for their sins over the past year. Leviticus 16 outlines the rituals performed on this day. This day was to be carried out precisely as God commanded.
John 7:37, “Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.” (NASB). The last day of the feast of Booths, Jesus cried out to all the people that if anyone was thirsty that He could give them everlasting water that would quench their thirst. John 4:14, “but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” (NASB). The connection between Jesus and the Feast of Booths is that Jesus was the feast and the atonement. Jesus died on the cross as a sacrifice to atone for all humanity’s sins past, present, and future. The day Jesus died was the true day of atonement. It was a solemn day. It was carried out just as God had commanded. It washed away all sin, not just for one year. His resurrection was and is a celebration. He is our feast in that we are made righteous through the body and blood of Christ.
During the Last Super, before Christ was crucified He offered Himself to the 12 Disciples. Matthew 26:26-28, “ 26 While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” 27 And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; 28 for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.” (NASB).
What does this mean to us? We must understand what the Old Testament is telling us, and why certain rituals, laws, and commands were given during that time for us to fully understand the context of the New Testament. The Day of Atonement was never meant to be a solution. Jesus was always the solution. The Day of Atonement was used to point to the necessity of Jesus. The Feast of Booths was a celebration of God’s protection and provision. Jesus died on the cross to provide us eternal (spiritual) protection and provision. He is the living waters that quench our thirst. Without Jesus, we will always be searching for something more to drink; something more to consume. We celebrate His sacrifice, because the gift of salvation and life. We are forgiven of our sins because of the day Jesus died. If you are thirsty, call upon Jesus. He is the only one that can satisfy your thirst.

Your “bible” “stories” are great for those that have never opened a Bible and never will.
And your knowledge of the 7 Holy Days Jesus Christ gave to the “Hebrews” (to all 12 tribes, not just to the Jews) is what is expected from a person that has not been studying long nor has ever kept God’s Feasts.

Christ returns at the Last Trump and that 7th Trump occurs on a Feast of Trumpets.

Christ returns as a warrior KING to MAKE WAR — not to turn around and leave
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called ——– The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together—- unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And — the remnant — were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
Jesus Christ came to slay HIS enemies and HE DOES — HIMSELF
Jknbt Jesus Christ does not slay these evil folks and then return to heaven He is KING of Kings and He comes to rule with a rod of iron and the Saints of God will rule with HIM here on the earth.
