Undercover Cops Seduce High School Students, Entrap Them Into Selling Weed

Undercover cops have been going into Florida high schools, making friends, Facebooking, and even flirting with kids — all with the aim of entrapping impressionable teens and nailing them for using pot.

If it sounds to you like these law enforcement officers are out to ruing lives of young citizens, you’re not alone. This American Life did a story highlighting one teen who ended up falling in love with one of the cops.

18-year-old Justin had no idea that he had fallen for a 25-year-old law enforcement officer. The cop was one of several in Palm Beach County, Florida, who were sent undercover to pose as students.

The teen said that he didn’t use drugs. But after spending weeks sharing stories about their lives, texting and flirting with each other, he was ready to please the girl.

She said she wanted some pot. He promised to get some for her. When he scored some weed, he gave it to her. She offered him $25 for it, but he refused — explaining that he intended it as a gift for her.

A short while later, the police did a big sweep of the school and arrested 31 students. Yes, including Justin. Almost all were charged with selling to the undercover cops. Justin has facing a felony.
