The UN Arms Trade Treaty that has been identified by observers as a flagrant threat to the second amendment and which Barack Obama is determined to sign has its roots in a 1961 State Department memorandum which explains how the United Nations will oversee "complete disarmament" of the American people under the ruse of preventing war. The UN Arms Treaty has caused so much controversy because it outlines a plan to target "all types of conventional weapons, notably including small arms and light weapons," according to Forbes' Larry Bell.
Former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton also warns that the agreement "is trying to act as though this is really just a treaty about international arms trade between nation states, but there is no doubt that the real agenda here is domestic firearms control."
A letter sent last month by 130 Republican House members to President Obama argued that the treaty should be rejected because it infringes on the "fundamental, individual right to keep and bear arms". The letter adds that "…the U.N.'s actions to date indicate that the ATT is likely to pose significant threats to our national security, foreign policy, and economic interests as well as our constitutional rights."
Using the rhetoric of the threat post by terrorists, insurgents and "international crime syndicates," the UN is busy trying to imply that all weapons are somehow involved in illegal activity on a global scale and should therefore be controlled and regulated by a global authority.
This is precisely the same language used in a 1961 U.S. State Department briefing which outlined a long term agenda to carry out a "Program for General and Complete Disarmament in a Peaceful World."
Invoking the threat of nuclear warfare, the document spells out a plan to create a "United Nations Peace Force" that would "enforce the peace as the disarmament process proceeds."
While the document initially focuses on scrapping nuclear weapons, it later makes it clear that the only groups allowed to own weapons of any kind would be governing authorities, "for the purpose of maintaining internal order," and the UN "peacekeeping" force itself, which would require "agreed manpower."
"The manufacture of armaments would be prohibited except for those of agreed types and quantities to be used by the U.N. Peace Force and those required to maintain internal order. All other armaments would be destroyed or converted to peaceful purposes," states the document. While the memorandum outlines a broader mandate to destroy national sovereignty, eviscerate national armies and institute the UN as the planet's supreme authority with a world army, the document serves as a stark reminder that the plan for the United Nations to oversee the abolition of the second amendment has been in the works for decades.
As Bell points out in his Forbes article, the threat of the Obama administration relying on a UN treaty to do what successive administrations have tried but failed to accomplish — taking a huge bite out of the second amendment — is by no means far fetched.
After all, a plethora of UN treaties and international agreements have already stripped the United States of its sovereignty and its power to decide its own laws. The power to authorize U.S. involvement in wars and conflicts has now been almost completely stripped from Congress and handed to the United Nations.

I bet if they show up in the US and word gets around that they are confiscating guns, that anytime there is the opportunity, people will be hacking at them. If patriots can take out two or three for every patriot killed it won’t take long.
Now nobody attacks the government and their supporters because there is too much to lose. People just have the attitude that “if they come for me then I will fight, but it is not worth starting the fight myself”. But that will quickly change and there will be millions of independent actions against targets of opportunity. There will be no organization; just angry individuals, acting alone or in small groups, getting revenge. It will be like Iraq X 100,000.
If you want to understand what it will be like, read about the 1861 US Civil War in border States like Missouri or West Virginia. Nobody was safe, and there were many Confederate heroes like Jesse and Frank James, William Quantrill, William Anderson, Coleman and Jim Younger, Sam Hildebrand, John Nolan, Silas Gordon, and countless others of lesser notoriety who made murder their business. That is what it is going to be because slaves and serfs have not only the motivation to kill their masters and the masters’ hired hands, but they have the means thanks to what is left of the Second Amendment and courage that has lain dormant for a century and one-half.

Be advised that the “briefing” referenced here, State Department Publication 7277, which lays out the disarmament agenda, is not only a very real statement of purpose; it was accompanied by the actual law by which it is being accomplished. Public Law 87-297, which formed the United States Disarmament Agency and began a three-phase plan to progressively disarm us and empower the UN, was signed into law by President John F. Kennedy in September of 1961. It has been amended approximately 40 times over the years, and is very much still on the books. I believe it’s in 18 U.S.C. (United States Code), I don’t remember the specific section number. But when these morons agree to share our missile defense secrets, and provide the serial numbers on the Trident missiles sold to Great Britain, and talk about reducing our nuclear deterrent forces another 50-80%, they’re not just blowing smoke; it’s the law. Short of a full-on revival, and the one-eighty in societal and governmental morality that it would bring, our security and sovereignty as a constitutional republic are toast. But if we turn from our sins and seek out the Lord in repentance, he will hear our prayers and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). Spread the Word!

of the armies of the world, and most are willing to use them. Imagine

The U.N. was identified in the Revelation account in the Christian Greek scriptures as the 8th world power of Bible history. Well, it’s here. It won’t be around for very long but what it does while it exists is going to be terrible and hard for the majority of mankind to comprehend.

The account tells what kind of destruction this “empire” experiences.
Those with insight who are reading this comment will log these few thoughts somewhere in their subconscious mind for later retrieval when the mud hits the fan. Hopefully, they will keep them in their conscious mind instead and try to find out what they need to do to survive what’s coming.
What I want to know is, who will trade their guns for food if they are starving. I believe thats the ‘real’ plan.

I think Truthzilla hit the nail on the head. Funny how that happens prior to election season. Same thing happened 4 yrs. ago. It looked highly likely that a Democrat was going to replace Bush jr. so the NRA began pushing the message 1 yr prior to the election, saying the Democrats were going to come take your guns. Then the stock market Banksters screwed the economy like hadn’t been done since the late 1920′s. It was a boon for ammo and gun manufacturers. Prices shot up with the excess demand, and ammo companies couldn’t keep up with orders. So why wouldn’t they try it again this election season?

Yes and no. I use to listen to Glenn Beck(I work a different shift which prevents me from doing it right now)and yes he has been right about some things, Limbaugh, I haven’t really heard him try to predict anything, just ranting alot. Other folks I don’t listen to, Alex Jones, I believe some of the stuff he says, but not everything, you can’t believe everything one person says, you see this in media, politics etc., so why would you do the same with these guys, but I do believe some of these folks mean well. The whatever they are going to sign on the 27th between the US and UN is real, and I have read enough to know that that is not good. Did you ever wonder why Obama never mentioned anything about gun control pubicly? Or atleast I haven’t heard anything(by all mean correct me if I am wrong)Well I would imagine this is probably why. Well, gun sales going up by whatever means is not a bad thing if we value our 2nd Amendment right to have an armed citizenry. So, they’ve been worried about our right to bear arms now for 50+ years. The U.S. and the Soviet Union were looking for a formal approach to disarmament talks. They finally agreed that the U.N. could be helpful in this respect. The state department wrote this U.N. proposal which was introduced to the U.N. Quite, obviously,as the negotiations progressed, neither side decided that this particular plan was going to meet their needs, so both sides backed away from it.
Fortunately, however, the discussions from this U.N. proposal paved the way for nuclear weapon treaties in the next 20 years. The document does not (as some claim) carry the weight of law and was not a goal of any administration in the past 25 years.
The document does not specifically mention removing guns from the hands of Americans not in the military, but some might interpret the phrase “national arsenal” to include privately owned guns.”

actually. all you have to do is read it. it doesn’t say that anywhere in the publication. that’s a falsehood (lie) presented by the writer intended to inflame emotion and control your personal opinion. it takes about 5-7 minutes to read it for yourself.

I want to take a minute to put out an incredibly powerful (I think) bit of information.
There is no law other than that you agree to. No man has any right to do anything to you other than that you grant him. This is in fact a very well understood concept in law, it’s just that most of us are woefully ignorant of what law is and perhaps more importantly who we are.

The long and short is that your power is not contingent on guns. Guns are awesome but the whole “armed uprising” thing is a ruse. Think about this: if we ignored the UN/politicians/police/whoever, what could they do? Nothing. Stop feeding the beast with your attention, fear, hatred and malice. Focus not on arming yourself (that’s what they do) and focus on making the world a better place to live. If we do that then the world will be a better place to live and we won’t need the UN or congress or any of these jokers.
Remember: if a war starts stay home! If everyone refused to participate in WW2 there wouldn’t have been a WW2! We have the privilege of being in control of what kind of world we want to make for ourselves and our families. We’re singing the same tune just being in this comment section, though some are wandering off-key just a bit. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when it comes to singing the same song, everyone needs to agree with how the tune goes. Harmony and impromptu are permitted!
We all agree that the Constitution has served us well when checks and balances still served The People’s interests rather than Special interests. So, we don’t plan on throwing that document out anytime soon.
We mainly know that we reject the cacophony from the Hill, the MSM, Wall Street and any of the other Bigs. They are out of tune with the Constitution.
Seriously, there is too much at stake — our babies and grandbabies, mainly. We want to see them safely into the future. So we have to be smart, know what we believe and get ourselves in tune. Everyone knows something, everyone has something to offer — a little at a time, lest we be presumptuous hurting our own selves and others.
I see leadership here in this forum. Leaders are made not born. The vision is more important than being the boss. Yet bosses are greatly needed! Rigid postures need to be sacrificed on the altar of spiritual growth. Humility precedes genius.

@ War Pony: You’re comment about the military questionaire was dead on. Once the government realized they couldn’t count on our own military to do their dirty work for them, that’s when they started bringing over U.N. troops to train here.
Another little known fact: during the last census, all the census takers were required to carry a hand held GPS reader with them and take GPS readings at every door they came to, regardless of whether anyone was home or not. I know this to be absolutely true, because I asked a friend of mine who worked for them, and he told me it was. The reason for this? Because all the foreign troops based here are mainly from Russia, germany, etc., and most can’t read or write English. But they all understand GPS readings. Keep up the good fight!
