You are so WRONG. He was talking to two other reporters not White House officials. Things are bad enough you do not need to “make” things up just to stir the pot.
That may be so …but….what was meant by THIS comment:

WHAT “DC” result? Is there something thats been kept secret here from the general public?

Someone want to make an attempt to clarify exactly WHAT was meant by that remark wether it was to a reporter “off record” or not ?
I wouldnt be so quick to be so “flippant” about his “We’re screwed ” remark whether to a reporter or not especially when reporters QUOTE Officials words.
This was meant “off the record” and he didnt even realize his mike was still on when he said it and he definitely sounded worried…

Just a mere speculation here but there are REPORTERS whom were in the Ebola Zone and most likely had been at White House Press Conferences…..so…………was there a contagion happening at the time?
There was also the Ebola victim in Dallas making a stop over at DULLES airport which is in Washington DC.- before he flew onto Dallas -
For all we know he could have used the washroom there and………….how many Government Officials might have been in the area at that time??

There is a case of ebola in DC, it going off the grid means out of their control.
