Poseidon’s Table – Seafood Greek Supper Club

After the indulgences of the Christmas holidays, January begs for lighter fare and when it comes to Greek food, the answer is fish, seafood and vegetables.

Join me on Sunday, January 12th for an evening of fish and seafood at St. Lawrence Market Kitchen. I’ve affectionately given this Greek Supper Club the title, “Poseidon’s Table”.

Long time supporter Selonda Aquaculture will fly in fresh European sea bass fillets for the main course.

Apostolos Gerakinis will pour Greek wines and spirits from Intravino Wines

Nisos Importing will supply Cretan olive and balsamic vinegar and Zaros sparkling and still water (also from Crete).

Gavros Marinato (Greek White Anchovies) with Florina Red Peppers, Crostini

Pan-Seared Calamari, Cretan extra-virgin olive oil, garlic, lemon, parsley, chives

Broiled Scallops, Citrus Champagne Dressing, Ginger

1st course: Baby Arugula Salad, Kiwi, Hazelnuts, Red Onion, Manouri Cheese

2nd Course: Seafood Manestra with Orzo, Shrimp, Mussels, Crab, Tomato, Saffron

Main Course: Lavraki Prasso-Selino (European Sea Bass with Leeks-Celery), Potatoes, Avgolemono Sauce

Dessert: Politiko Thessalonikis served with Greek coffee and Kardasi Mastiha Liqueur
