Happier Days for 'Fugitive of the Week' Arrested on Happy Day Circle

Concord, NH – Early this morning, the “Fugitive of the Week,” Justin C. Richardson, 21, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Task Force, in Hartsville, SC. Richardson was wanted an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear for an armed robbery with a gun, by the Strafford County Sheriff’s Office.
As part of the U.S. Marshals fugitive investigation, Richardson was featured as the “Fugitive of the Week” on November 9th. The “Fugitive of the Week” was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, The Manchester Ink Link and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week” has been a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week” is distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers.
Information was developed that Richardson, was staying at an address on Happy Day Circle, Hartsville, SC. The information was immediately passed on to the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in South Carolina, where Richardson was located and arrested without incident. Richardson was transported to the Darlington County Jail where he was booked as a fugitive from justice. Richardson will remain in custody and is pending extradition back to New Hampshire.
Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 6,539 arrests (Updated as of 10/18/2016).These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 7 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
