Manchester Police Arrest 'Fugitive of the Week'

Concord, NH – This past Thursday, “Fugitive of the Week,” Wilfredo Morales, 43, was arrested by the Manchester Police Department. Morales was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Hillsborough County Superior Court for failure to appear on a charge of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon. Additionally, Morales has an extensive and violent criminal history.
As part of the U.S. Marshals fugitive investigation, Morales was featured on December 21st as the “Fugitive of the Week.” The “Fugitive of the Week” was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, The Manchester Ink Link and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week” has been a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week” is distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers.
On February 9th, members of the Manchester Police Department had contact with Morales in the 200 block of Lake Avenue where he was arrested without incident. Mr. Morales was transported to the Manchester Police Department for processing and then transported to the Hillsborough County Jail for holding pending his initial court appearance.
The United States Marshals Service is thankful to the men and women of the Manchester Police Department who were able to safely apprehend Mr. Morales.
Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 6,628 arrests (Updated as of 12/27/2016).These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 7 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
