I know once I was hearing the booms so I called the local USGS office to see what he would say. He said something so pathetically ignorant and untrue — he said that the booms were coming from the train yards!!! After I told him that if that were the case, then it would be going on day and night, not sometimes as was going on at the time he had nothing else to say!!!
Also, I heard of a new fault which was found beneath the Mississippi River right under the Memphis Bridge!!!
