U.S. Jobless Claims Plunge to Lowest Weekly Tally Since 1973

The drop in claims shows that companies are increasingly holding on to their employees amid a shortage of skilled labor. Businesses are struggling to find workers to fill positions, particularly in manufacturing and construction, as cited in some anecdotes for the Federal Reserve’s Beige Book released Wednesday.
The figures suggest the unemployment rate of 4.1 percent, already the lowest since 2000, could be poised to decline further. The latest week for claims includes the 12th of the month, which is the reference period for the Labor Department’s monthly employment surveys.

This is bullshit.
The only reason the numbers have plummeted is because those who lost their jobs back during the bush depression fell off the books years ago.
The economy is not at all in good shape.
People busting their asses to get REQUIRED medical insurance after the government destroyed employee health care plans and then to pay medical bills because THEY pay for insurance but illegals and ghetto dependents actually GET insured, because they got nothing to lose certainly are not capable of boosting the economy by spending money, their money is already spent for them by the government.
Just because unemployment rolls are low doesn’t mean things are good. What it means is that they are no longer getting anything from anywhere, and therefore not feeding the economy.
OR resorting to less than government sanctioned commerce to survive.
