I am prepared to lose everything and am ready to live a Spartan life for the next 10 years. The nation needs to go through a decade of struggle to be humbled and to learn how to appreciate the simple things of life again. Starting from the beginning of World War I, this is what has happened since:
• World War I – 1914-1919 (5 years) (U.S. involvement: 2 years)
• Roaring 20s – 1920-1929 (prosperity)
• Stock Market Crash – October 1929
• The Great Depression – 1929-1941 (12 years)
• World War II – 1939-1945 (6 years) (U.S. involvement: 4 years)
• 1945-2010 – 65 years of prosperity (we have grown nothing but spoiled brats in the population)
• The Global Collapse of 2011 – To occur sometime between Oct 2010-Mar 2011
• The Second Great Depression – 2011-2020 (10 years) (Pending)
Be prepared for the worst but hope and pray for the best.
The economy is becoming worse
The data is true. If Obama does not want to take responsibility for the current economy, we beg the question: So, why did he seek the presidency if he does not want to solve the problem? Everything he has done has exacerbated the problem. Thus, at what point will he assume responsibility—probably never. It is easier for him to blame George W. Bush and everyone else—except himself.

I’m not bitter at all. I just read the tea leaves and draw conclusions. You can take it or leave it. I believe in being prepared, for if we are prepared, we need not fear. I encourage all to plan for the worst, but hope and pray for the best.
If I am anything, I am very disappointed in BHO and all of his radical czars in the White House. They bring about the change that I wasn’t hoping for. If you are a progressive, you are probably very happy with what Obama and his cronies are doing to our country. I am very concerned that they are turning the America we know and love into a third-world nanny state.
You should have the intestinal fortitude to stop using “anonymous” as your handle. How about using your real name and photograph so we all can see what kind of person you are. Are you afraid of being seen? I hope not.

They say we would crash this year, now they see it’s not happening, so just just change the date until they get it right eventually. if it don’t happen in 2011, then it be 2012, so on so on! I predict a rock will fall from the sky!
An associate at my office has sincerely predicted the economic collapse every single day since 1972!!! He is really gloating now. I tell him that even a broker clock is correct twice a day. But you know things are not good and a terrible collapse may be coming.
I understand that there will always be prognosticators on both sides of the fence.
I think we spend too much time focusing on calamitous events and not enough time on the slow-burn destruction of the middle class that is underway.
As a Gen-Y myself, I see so many people having their lives ruined by student loan debt (to pay for degrees that are becoming ubiquitous thus meaningless – Master’s degrees are the new standard), lack of jobs (all shipped overseas in return for shoddy plastic trinkets), declining social safety net (I KNOW that social security etc. will not be there for me 50+ years from now), having my resources stolen to “pay” the baby boomers (the generation that ruined America IMO), etc.
I saddens me beyond all measure that my child’s generation will have it even worse off.
Perhaps Gerald Celente is right, and there will be a calamitous downfall in the next few months.
Even so does it matter? How is the economy for future generations already not screwed?
America has tried the whole empire thing, it didn’t work too well, and now we are being primed for an NWO takeover – but for that to happen first the old order has to be wiped away in a toxic fever of war, depression, and turning once-enlightened citizens into mindless biotic androids (to borrow from Alex Jones).
Bob is right in that if you can prepare, you should. 2 years from now you’ll look back fondly at the days when you could read a blog post early in the morning and sip your latte. You’ll be to focused on getting your palm/forehead scanned so you can get your government rations for the day (if you are lucky and not on a warfront or dead in a ditch).
There’s a ton of D & G (Doom and gloom) stories out there. Some have been spot on (Gerald Celente) most of them off or completely missed their mark. My thoughts are at least be ready with food, water and fuel…it’s such a low insurance cost that it doesn’t not make sense to have at least 3 months worth of food etc. Heck, your going to eat it anyway!
Maybe have a couple of crank-wind flashlights ($25), crank wind/solar radio ($35), glass filled bottled water (free), 3 months fuel supply (accelerate your food purchases), trading currency, i.e.1/10-1 ounce silver coins (whatever you can afford) and maybe some fuel on hand (10-5 gallon gas containers..filled) $200
Total = $260 + whatever you can afford in silver
Pretty cheap insurance if you ask me.
Xizen, excellent post! My message is not doom and gloom. My message is to be prepared so, if it happens, you won’t be caught with your pants on the ground. Anonymous gives some good suggestions in getting prepared. If you are mentally prepared, while 95% of the population will be panicked, scared, and wandering aimlessly, you will be calm and able to help others through the stress and strains of the depression.
Look on the positive side of another great depression. The people who struggle will be humbled and hopefully will return to God. Those who do not have God in their lives will discover God–maybe for the first time. They will start appreciating the little things of life…like a square meal once a day, water to drink, air to breathe, etc. Seeing a little wild flower growing will attract their attention, and they will appreciate its beauty.
They will return to family values and show great appreciation for the things they have. Especially, they will despise the evils of the dole and gain a new enthusiasm for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They will again learn the work ethic and become inventive, creative, and innovative. They will depend on themselves more than on the nanny state.
Therefore, my friends, great positive, constructive things will result from another great depression. Maybe, after it ends, there will be 25 years of prosperity before the next great calamity. Trials and tribulations make strong people of all of us. We just need to see trouble times in that light instead of just doom and gloom. That’s my story, and I am sticking with it.
I predict the end of 2010 will come on December 31! The year will be replaced the next days by a year of identical length! Prepare yourselves!
What will happen on 1-1-11!!!! The numbers all match and are obviously pointing to the ONE !!! WHO IS THE ONE THAT IS COMING as surely as night follows the day (except in Las Vegas)? Does number one mean we will all get pissed on in 2011. Good thing the New Year doesn’t start on 2-2-22.

Doesn’t anyone understand the Michael Milken’s testing the grounds to which high government can allow trillions of “fake” dollars to dictate the economy in a SHORT period of time. Fake appraisals and lots and lots of “loot” going into only a certain percentage of skillful money managers pockets. It happened again, millions of homes magically worth 2-4 times their true value and cashed in. Those trillions of dollars went into someones pocket and it wasn’t the “dumb” homeowner who “cashed in”. They SPENT it as fast as they could and the funnel it went into was very small. Corporate greed can turn a switch, change QUICKLY an interest rate or two and sing consumer confidence, etc. But did all those trillions of dollars go BACK into the economy or into select pockets i.e. Petroleum, Banking and Insurance. Check out the top 10 richest companies in the world. Two of them don’t even PRODUCE a product, they are the middle man or SERVICE. Service your debts, charge fee’s for access to your own money, charge you $700 to see the doctor (deductible, etc.).
I just saw the BP oil STILL made something like $47 BILLION profit including the OIL disaster in the Gulf.
Those foney-baloney mortgage payments people are struggling to pay even though they are paying HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of dollars
towards a house that isn’t worth it. THEY ARE STUCK and not for just a year or two but for the life time of the loan or decades.
Now that will create a few extra coins for SOMEONE who is raking in interest for zero valued loans.

The bank makes money on both people but the one who owns a home not even worth what he is paying for, they make MORE. The Milken scenario worked perfectly in the late 80′s. Bankrupted possibly the richest county in America, Orange County. All those old “troopers” who worked their whole lives and their money went to the Mikeal Milkens of the Corporate world that could drive the economy so easily and QUICKLY into oblivion and into THEIR pockets. Not millions but BILLONS gone POOF and millions of average Americans lost individual fortunes.
What has happened today, the last 3-4 years? Enron didn’t scare anyone? BILLIONS being able to be manipulated and how many people benefited and how many were financially ruined. Older people who can’t “make it” again, who ALREADY had. POOF, into someones pocket, it did not disappear.

At the turn of the 19th century, the corporate steel, railroad, coal, copper controlled manpower through corrupt means, forced child labor, obscene working hours and conditions. Money driven interests of a few controlled millions of Americans and robbed them of dignity and human rights. The Rockefellers, Vanderbuilds, Carnegie’s and just a few others dictated policy and paid well for their contacts in Washington, the Constitution was put on hold for the machines of wealth to control America and it’s people. Distribution of wealth equals the condition of any society, and every civilization was faced with a similar situation we are in not only as Americans but as citizens of the world.
The awareness is SOOOOOOOOO tiny that “puppeteering” is now a science, whether it be Democrates or Republicans, the “wealth-mobile” controls ALL areas of government, so therefore all public and private policy that we depend on is controlled not of , by or for the People but of, by and for the Corporations. Tell Halliburton to get a competitive contract. How was it possible they were even in a position to control trillions of dollars of OUR funds? Sorry, just an example, BP oil will bankrupt a few of their subsideraries to show the public they can’t pay the price of clean-up or damage. The smoke will cloud their nest egg that is larger than anyone could even fathom.
When 10 or less percent owns 90% or more of the wealth and the 10% is shrinking, we got trouble beyond our sheeps mentality.
I have not quit, but I have changed. 5 years down here in paradise that is affordable, more so than living in poverty in the U.S. and being led to slaughter. I worked so hard and so long to believe I was making a living, and then I could lose it all in such a short time makes me angry. University of Calif. grad and all that “up the ladder shit”. It plateaued when someone else decided, not me. Made a lot of investments in a falsely ‘growing” economy. POOF, gone, and worked to pay off debt for industries that were being held up by false money promises.
