If You Want Four More Years of G.W. Bush Again Vote For Anyone Other Than Ron Paul

How is a vote for any other candidate other than Ron Paul not a vote for the failed policies of George W. Bush?  Is there any position taken by the candidates that is not in lockstep with the foreign policy, and by foreign policy I mean imperial war policies of exactly the same type as Bush?  Yet, it seems the elite are out of touch with the fact that there are squatter camps rising up in forests where people are literally living in campers, tents and shanty huts. 

The financial elite tells us that it is our duty to tighten our belts and sacrifice because we are at war as their shares of stock in war-profiteering corporations continually rise.  Meanwhile, Americans face a future of unemployment, homelessness, no medical care and retirement accounts raided by flash traders, credit default swap hucksters, inside trading schemes and outright theft of private accounts by commodity firms like MF Global.  As retired people are forced to work into their eighties, we will see hundreds of pensioners fighting for a single greeting job at the local Walmart.  Yet, the elite are asking Americans to double down on the bets of politicians who have already lost most of their wealth and now are praying to fill an inside straight.

As the economy crumbles and trillions upon trillions of dollars are printed out of thin air to fund TARP, banking bailouts and the nationalizing of losses from a financial sector that profited handsomely during the run up to the collapse, we sense nothing but a scorched earth policy of greed and crushing debt for as far as the eye can see.  This is a debt  that can never be paid by a service sector economy.  In short, the path we are on is unsustainable.  The greater the government works to prevent the correction, the worse the effects of an eventual collapse will be.  

As all this was occurring, every single establishment politician, especially including the ones running for the GOP presidential nomination except for Ron Paul, all told Americans “the fundamentals are fine”.  They were completely oblivious to the coming collapse that Ron Paul had so accurately predicted years before even when making such pronouncements were laughed at with the exact same degree of incredulity as a gray-haired gentleman who was mocked as began building an ark in an open field miles from any water.  As Noah saw the coming flood, Ron Paul saw the coming economic tsunami that would wash away middle class wealth. 

Ron Paul’s wealth of $2.3 million, less than one percents of the wealth of Mitt Romney,  has come from a long career of  delivering over 4000 babies and writing books, many of which he has given away free of charge, with the hopes of waking America to an intellectual revolution.  It is to the great harm of Americans that they did not listen nor try to understand that of which Ron Paul had warned.  It was herd mentality along with government inducements used to sweeten the deal that caused the herd to put their money in retirement accounts used as capital for funding home building.  This herd mentality assured all everything was okay as more financial jackals gathered to pick off more and more cattle.  As we were told to keep putting our money into a 401K until we retired, we remained ignorant of the fact that the financial elite had been picking the last bits of meat off the last bones of the carcasses of what was once a bull market.    

The path the government has taken is intuitively against common sense.  The elite have actually floated the idea of destroying perfectly good housing with the intent of stimulating the economy and propping up home prices to keep them at heights that will prevent people from buying them.  This exact strategy of destroying wealth was used during the Great Depression when crops were plowed under to prevent deflation even though people were starving and needed cheaper food. The elites’ solution to the inability of people to afford any more credit to consume or buy houses involves the destruction of wealth and going further into debt.  The thought has never occurred to them that one day real world resources will need to be expended just to pay the interest on money that is backed by nothing and was printed to the tune of trillions of dollars out of nothing but paper and ink.  This does not even take into account the budget shortfall involving another trillion dollars per year that will grow even higher as the government is forced to print even more money to fund war and more bailouts while the economy continues to shrink. 

The government has promised us so much, yet it failed to do something as simple as stopping fraud and punishing those who committed it.  Now it promises to keep us safe through never-ending wars.  It promises us prosperity by putting us deeper in debt.  It promises us more liberty by enacting greater and greater levels of tyrannous legislation, rules, regulations and directives.  Within days of 9/11 the government had compiled an encyclopedia of new laws that served as the foundation to strip rights that date back to the Magna Carta.  Yet, years after the crimes that caused the collapse of the economic system the only measures that had been taken was to grant the banking system total secrecy, impunity and greater levels of control aand consolidation along with many trillions of dollars of money that stole its value from the money people had already worked for and saved.

There are two things with which Americans should be concerned because the survival of our republic hangs in the balance.  The first one is the coming to an understanding of the Austrian school of economic theory that explains and describes the business cycle.  The second thing is coming to an understanding at how inept empires are and preventing their decline.  Both tasks involve understanding the mindset of the elite and having an understanding of history and economics. 

The path George Bush and Barak Obama has led America down leads much deeper into the abyss of corporatism, war, tyranny and impoverishment.  Romney, Gingrich, Santorum and Bachmann have demonstrated their willingness to continue down that path.  Ron Paul stands at the fork in the road and is offering one last chance to head down the path of sustainability, stability and sanity.  The choice is yours to make and it will be as you will.
