Foodstamp Nation In Turmoil: EBT System Goes Dark, “Glitch” Blamed

In the past five years it has become apparent that America can survive a near-fatal financial system collapse, an economy teetering on the edge and kept ticking only thanks to the Fed’s now perpetual QE, a collapsing standard of living for everyone but the wealthiest 0.1%, declining wages, zero interest rates, surging food, energy, rent, tuition and welfare costs, and pretty much everything else, as long as the welfare state keeps humming along. Any be welfare state we mostly mean providing the daily bread to the nearly 50 million Americans living in poverty and surviving only thanks to the only thing to have exploded to epic record highs under Obama (in addition to the Fed’s balance sheet of course): foodstamp usage. However, the true stability of the US may be tested very soon following reports that due to a “possible computer glitch” the Electronic Benefits Transfer System, aka EBT, ala Foodstamps, is offline. Cue mass panic among the best-weaponized population in the world. Naturally, this latest fiasco involving a country that has grown accustomed to sucking on the government’s teat was immediately blamed on a “glitch” – just like everything else that is slowly but surely breaking in the New Normal.

Of course it was a glitch and not hackers doing a test run to see how Americans would react when the welfare was delayed. Maybe even the government itself is running this as a test. Certainly one of the most cost effective and hard to detect or to rationalize a war over attack would be to knock out the welfare machinery and let riots cause chaos, fear and ill will between American classes.
ok this is a good thing…why is the article wrote like its a bad thing..the goverment can use the ebt savings,cut a few other intitlements(not retirements stuff) put it on what we owe and there you go,we dont even need to raise the debt ceiling..
sorry it does not work that way, when or if it comes back up they will allow them what is owed them, will not be any savings, probably will actually cost us more !

Unfortunately its time to start getting some lazy people of their butts I don’t want anyone to starve but some are way passed due to get off their asses for a change out of those 50 million how much are abusing the system I know some have legitimate reasons

Lazy absolutely! Just seeing some of the comments from those that have food stamps and couldn’t use them for a little while today! Oh yea- EBT is back up and running again! Test or not, this should open some eyes to see just how much some people actually rely on the government for their needs. Personally, I work my butt off to provide for my family and I even live pay check to pay check but I don’t get food stamps! Just as government lies to the American people, most on food stamps have figured a way to lie just to get food stamps. I too don’t want to see anyone starve but when you have one family working their butts off to provide and you have the next family making the same kind of income and getting food stamps, you have to scratch your head. Oh and those same people always have the extra cash to go do this and go do that! Try not having food stamps for awhile and actually have to spend some of your paycheck’s on food each week, see if you still have all that extra money to do things.
