While it is true that a total collapse would bring out the WORST in most everyone in America (we are far more animalistic than most 3rd world countries – and we just don’t see it for what it is, due to the panacea of the internet and other electronic ‘barbiturates’ we have in front of us right now).

That said, and following the laws of physics and accepted engineering principles, the more complex a structure is, the more fragile it is. We are about as complex as it gets, and while we are holding on, seemingly solid, and the illuminati keeps playing with their Monopoly money, paper toys, stringing us along with the old Potomac Two-Step fantasy game, in reality, you need to consider (beyond their twisted whims), what would it really take to totally crush our nation quickly?

Let’s see, there’s nature. Massive earthquake (New Madrid, San Andreas – maybe, unknown fault in the Applachians, etc.), giant Tsunami on east or west coast, massive meteor event, cosmic ray event, EMP attack or anything that would mess with our electric grid. In fact, the one thing that all these things have in common, is the electric grid. We could re-route for shipping food (even if we had to ship out of California, go through the Panama Canal, to circumvent the New Madrid, just to get food to the east – IF IT’S STILL THERE). BUT, if our electric grid is destroyed, there goes communications, most ‘smart-meter’ homes, businesses, internet, security alarms, gas pumps, etc. You just killed the 20th and 21st centuries, right there. FYI, the DoD also just stated in a report, that the one thing overlooked in preparation for a terrorist attack is THE ELECTRIC GRID.

Now, depending on WHAT takes out the electric grid (as it looks like the weak link in the chain), what would it take to ‘get around it’, and function normallly? Well water with a pump? Better have a 5k Gen or bigger that can make 220v power. Gas pump at a small convenience store? Again, 5k generator (pray those pumps aren’t 3-phase 220v, too).

Why worry about the specific details? Because no one short of a billionaire can prepare for ‘all eventualities’. You have to think through ‘your most likely failure events’, and focus on them. Most things turn into 2-week or less problems (from fallen bridges to interrupted groceries or fuel), but torn-up electrical grid systems are another matter. If an EMP strike hit the U.S., it could take 20-YEARS to replace the damaged transformers (per Rand ‘Think Tank’s’ vulnerability evaluation of our electric grid a few years ago). There are few companies in the world that could produce enough replacement transformers to fix your local problems, let alone the big bus gear and transformers that power stations would require.

Why worry about ‘crashing the economy’? Think bigger, like the REAL (government) TERRORISTS do – they KNOW they make, distribute, and can replenish the money, any time they want to – right up until the moment the power goes out, and the bank computers turn off. When they do go off, and they will, where will your money be? What happens if they just turn off the power, and SAY it’s an attack? See how easy it really is?
