Warren Buffett never tries to predict a stock market crash but he does build up his cash reserves ready to buy stocks cheaply when one happens.

In the past year his cash pile is up from $36 billion to a record $56 billion. What is he waiting for this time around?

You might recall how in 2008 the Sage of Omaha stepped into the limelight with the spectacular rescue of Wall Street titan Goldman Sachs, making a couple of billion in the process. He was one of the few investors with money to hand when the world turned upside down.
