The amount of electricity generated in the UK from renewables such as wind and solar is growing year on year. Recent analysis by the Carbon Trust revealed that solar panels generated more electricity than coal over six months – from April until the end of September – for the first time ever, while the amount of electricity generated from renewables increased from 19% in 2014 to 25% in 2015.
