The Greatest Generation did it why don't we?

I watch the debates, I watch the news about the debt, I follow the Peterson Foundation and other economic’s sites. No one has a cure ,a plan, the presidental candidates do not mention it they just make more promise’s to get elected. Why don’t we dig in and pay the bill’s? We think the response to September 11th was for free? Restructuring the entire countrys police,fire, and national defense. Creating the homeland security agency. Two wars in the middle east. Everyone thinks with this fiat economy that it was all free? The saying ” Freedom isn’t Free” is true. There are some dedicated public servants in the government starting to sound the alarm after the debt has hit 20 TRILLION dollars. The only other time we were in this degree of debt was after World War 2 and they (the greatest generation) banded together and sacraficed  and it paid off for them it created the biggest boom this country has ever seen. We could do the same without much sacrafice . In fact no sacrafice !  Check out this website www.nationalday911.org
