Rich Turner

“This decision of a career, which really means ‘I’m deciding on an academic path,’ is absolutely critical for students to be successful. The sooner [students] are able to settle on a career, the more likely they are to persist to degree or certificate completion.”

Rich Turner, Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management at FSCJ, sees the critical importance of helping students make that career decision, but realized it’s an issue that needs to be addressed across the college. In last week’s Emsi webinar, Rich and his panel of four FSCJ team members—with specialities ranging from high school recruiting to student onboarding—discussed how they’ve used Career Coach and collaborated across the college to help students make career decisions at any stage of the student life cycle.

Together, the many vantage points of the FSCJ team provide a unique perspective—highlighting the impact that can stem from a various departments coming together to work toward a common goal.
