Trump Learns Of Struggling Father; Invites Him To Inauguration And Offers Him $10,000 Check (Video)

by Jim Hoft, The Gateway Pundit:

Father Blown Away By Trump’s Generosity
Shane Bouvet is a 23-year-old from the small town of Stonington, Illinois which has fewer than 1,000 residents. Shane is also a single father who has fallen on hard times and is living paycheck-to-paycheck as a FedEx courier.

During the 2016 Presidential election Shane Bouvet volunteered for Donald Trump by delivering signs for the campaign and quickly moved his way up to becoming it’s volunteer social media coordinator in Illinois.

Shane’s hard work and dedication earned him an invitation to the Presidential inauguration which he wanted to attend but didn’t own the right suit or shoes to wear to such an event.

From The Washington Post:

With the invitation in hand, Bouvet scanned his wardrobe for something to wear. He had old suits, but nothing appropriate for an evening ball, let alone the proper shoes. He thought about scrimping a few dollars from his paycheck. That was when Mike Bell, a former teacher and a politico from Bouvet’s part of Illinois, stepped in.

“I’ve known him long enough that when he told me he was going to inaugural ball, he would need a suit,” Bell said of Bouvet. “We went to Men’s Wearhouse.”

Bell said he was also able to secure a donation of Allen Edmonds dress shoes. The Wisconsin shoemaker has regularly provided shoes to presidents for their inaugurations.

The Washington Post says that President Trump learned of Bouvet through their newspaper and was very impressed by the young man. Shane and President Trump met and talked for a few minutes, signed autographs and called the young mans father together. Just when it seems like things couldn’t get any better for Shane, they did.

From The Washington Post:

At the end, Trump put his hand on Bouvet’s back and told an aide, “Send him a check for $10,000.”

Bouvet broke down and cried…

…“Did that just happen?” he asked out loud.
