New Snowflake Study Proves Kanye Right: “That Major That She Majored in Don’t Make No Money”

A few days ago we noted that a record number of millennials are now graduating college and promptly moving back home with mom and dad.  Adding insult to injury, at least for mom and dad anyway, roughly one-quarter of those millennials living in the proverbial basement are unemployed can’t be bothered with the hassle of looking for a job.

Now, thanks to a new study from iCIMS, we think we’ve been able to identify the problem…apparently the number of potential employers looking for anthropology majors is fairly minimal…even if the major did cost $250,000.  Here are the stats courtesy of the Wall Street Journal:

Of course, this modest “skills gap” hasn’t dampened the outlook of America’s entitled millennials when in comes to evaluating their own self worth.  Per the iCIMS study, 54% of college graduates expect to make $50,000 or more in their first year out of school.

Unfortunately, employers only plan to pay around $45,00, on average. 

Of course, we’re sure that trivial things like unemployment and money won’t stop the entitled, snowflake masses from joining the natural spring migratory patterns of college graduates to the ‘safe space’ bastions of their choice.  Because even though they can’t afford that $4,000 per month studio in NYC we’re sure mom and dad will have no problem taking out a second mortgage on their house to cover the costs until junior gets up on his feet.

Oddly, despite high expectations for conquering the world, only 28% of the class of 2017 think they’ll be able to pay off their student loans…
