Angry Guy: Time to Slaughter Obama

Come November, 2010 – after over a year of waiting, it’s your chance to kill off Barack Obama at the polls. And to slaughter along with him, droves of inside-the-beltway cronies from both sides of the aisles.

According to latest polling research, millions of you are itching for that chance, in numbers unseen for over eighty years.

The American University’s Center for the Study of the American Electorate says that Republican votes for statewide offices are outnumbering Democratic votes, an outcome last witnessed in 1930.

Curtis Gans, director of the center, told AP that the evidence of lower participation by Democrats in statewide primaries was: ” the first tangible demonstration [of] a distinct lack of enthusiasm among the Democratic rank and file.”

Voter sentiment is more than Republican in color, it’s masses also comprise disaffected blue collar Democrats. Linda Chavez, writing in the New York Post explains why:

” Workers aren’t buying it. They’ve watched as the Democratic troika [of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama] has shoved unpopular health-care legislation down American throats. They’ve witnessed unprecedented government spending that promised jobs but delivered nearly 10 percent unemployment. Now they’re bracing for tax hikes, which they know will come out of their pockets even if the Democrats promise only “the rich” will pay. “

Adding to the establishment woes is the fervently anti-establishment tone in voter intent. This election is not about left versus right. It’s about popular disgust with bailouts and long-vested, cozy cartels of D.C. influence. Criminal cartels which have Ponzi-looted the voters’ savings, retirement investments, taxes and future.

But revenge is a dish best tasted cold. Americans in number are in a cold fury for that revenge. They remember that when their anger was hotter they refrained from riot. No blood ran in the streets. Now they want blood running in the aisles of their government assemblies. And the Democratic party power elite know they are going to get slaughtered.

According to a report in the New York Times, Democratic party leaders are:

” preparing a brutal triage of their own members, [and are] poised to redirect money to concentrate on trying to protect up to two dozen lawmakers who appear to be in the strongest position to fend off their challengers. “

They Dems are tossing their weakest colleagues to the baying packs of the electorate. Responding to the NYT report, political commentator Michael Barone reminds us that:

” Triage is the procedure by which medical personnel screening people injured in combat or disasters separate those who can be saved from those who can’t. The first group is given immediate surgery in hopes of recovery. The second is given painkillers to make the end bearable. “

Polling indicators say there will be three Republican voters to every two Democrats. But to make matters worse, many Democrats may fail to show – even as a cross party “revenge” dynamic, and a ‘ Tea Party ‘ revolt dynamic sends millions of motivated voters to the polls to make their mark. Elections are won by those who show up.

The likely outcome of this voter surge is that Obama and the Democrats will be holed below the waterline; and many Republican victors will be firmly beholden to a Tea Party core agenda of small government, no bailouts, low taxes and fiscal responsibility.

In other words, a 180 degree voter turnaround from the now-laughable hysteria in which Obama was elected just two short years ago.

In pagan history the King was often killed and tossed in a peat bog when things were going bsdly. These modern days,  voters are about to sacrifice Obama and grasp the reins of government – legally and without violence.

They now want the very ‘Change’ the marketing men invented for Obama.

And what they are changing is the two-party duopoly and blind adherence to ideology. A new unifying center in American politics is emerging to power. A pragmatic balance of center-right tax and fiscal policies, with center-left social policies and an overcast of a Libertarian inclination.

In this unifying centrist momentum, radicals on the left and right will be driven to the fringes. That means dwindling relevance for moral radicals of the right and proto-Marxist radicals of the left. Which is good news for an America that needs less culture wars and more pragmatic solutions aimed at Main Street; and fast.

But this is about more than Obama and his soon to be rejected agenda. It’s about the betrayal of the American Dream over the last twenty five years. It’s about seething frustration finally finding voice. It’s about time.

Patient Americans are rising up to make their mark – with voting cards, not pitchforks. It’s called Democracy. In a land which was once truly the greatest democracy in the world. It can be such again. But elections are won by those who show up.

So show up!

And make the real ‘change’, real.
