(Before It's News)

Alexandria, VA – Senate Conservatives Fund President Ken Cuccinelli made the following statement after retired Air Force Lt. Col. Darryl Glenn (R-CO) was declared the winner of the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Colorado:

“We congratulate Darryl Glenn and his grassroots team on their impressive victory today. Starting with no name ID and very little money, he overcame great odds and won a race that few believed he could win. Darryl Glenn won because he’s an unapologetic conservative who is willing to stand up to the liberals in both parties. He is an exciting candidate who will bring new energy and diversity to the Republican Party.

“We are very proud to have joined the grassroots in Colorado and several leading conservatives in supporting Darryl Glenn, and we will continue to do everything we can to help him defeat Senator Michael Bennet in November.

“Senator Bennet has voted to raise the debt limit at least six times, he voted for the Gang of Eight amnesty bill, he voted to fund Planned Parenthood, he voted for Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, he supports reinstating the Clinton gun ban, and he was the deciding vote for Obamacare. He’s betrayed the voters in Colorado and must be defeated.”

Senate Conservatives Fund is a national grassroots organization that promotes conservative policies and helps elect conservative candidates.
