North Sioux City, SD — South Dakota’s Congresswoman made a stop at Dakota Valley high school this morning.
Kristi Noem spoke to more than 500 students and teachers about her role in Washington and her position on policies ranging from taxes to college affordability.
She says she enjoys speaking to students.
Some of them are getting ready to vote for the first time next month.
“I think it’s the first opportunity to cast a vote for someone and they take it seriously. For them, I reminder the first time I voted, it was very important to me. I didn’t want to vote how parents have always voted. I wanted to know the candidates, know what they believed, then cast an informed vote. I find that when most people, when they are voting for the first time, they really do take it seriously, so it’s a great chance for me to visit with them and talk about differences,” said Representative Noem.
After her visit to North Sioux City, Rep. Noem held another event in Centerville.
