Government in Cahoots with Big Oil to Rip You Off

It has recently surfaced that government regulations prevent auto manufacturers from making vehicles that get far better mileage.  I recently read an artilce where a driver on vacation in Europe was amazed by the incredible mileage he was getting with a rented VW.  He did his homework and when he got home he went to a dealership and asked to buy the model he had rented in Europe.  He was told that government regulations would not allow that model to be inported into the US.

What we have is government regulations that are robbing you.  The European cars get nearly double the milage US cars do.  So basically not only are you paying artificially inflated prices for your gas and diesel you are useing twices as much as a driver in Europe.

This is outrageous colusion between big oil and the Federal government to insure the Oil companies continue to rake in obscene profits while we are struggling to pay the bills.  The oil companies are double dipping you with the blessing of the government.

A diesel VW in Europe is getting an unbelievable 74+ miles per gallon even when the difference in the size of gallons is figured in.  Not only that but the government discourages automakers from producing diesels by taxing diesel fuel 25% more than gas.

This is just another case of our elected officials catering to corporatism at the expense of the voters.  VOTE THEM ALL OUT!!
