Chapter 23: How to Deal with a 21st Century American Woman--If she plays games

          You may have heard of two books that conspire on how women ­may grab the upper hand on men, and another that shows men on how­ to get the upper hand on women.  Both books show each gender how ­to manipulate the other.  One book hooks him into marriage and ­the other shows how to get her into bed without marriage.

          Both books espouse game playing.  It means someone wins and­ someone loses.  If you’re out there in singles land for the pure­ self-serving debauchery of personal pleasure– bed every woman you­ can get your hands on!  Catch a case of incurable herpes or slow death AIDS.  Maybe you’re looking for a set of warts the size of­ a cauliflower growing on the shaft of your manhood.  Be happy.  See­ if we care that you’re about to become a member of the wart ­family.  Maybe you can’t wait to scream bloody murder when you­ catch a case of the new strains of clap. 

          However, if you’re looking for a long-term mate, game­ playing is the wrong way to start out any relationship.  If a ­woman buys the book and follows it through–just to get married, ­you have to wonder what she thinks marriage is in the first­ place?  If the man follows the protocol for getting laid, he’s ­looking for a place to hide his manhood…nothing more.   We’re ­talking about an individual’s feelings and emotions that are ­being used as toys.   Both books have nothing to do with­ relationship.  They have to do with manipulation.

          If you find yourself being manipulated by a woman, it’s time ­to drop her like a micro-waved potato.  It means she is the type­ of woman who will manipulate you for the rest of your life.  ­That’s her style.  If you’re the same kind of man who would ­manipulate her into bed just to get laid, we hope she is smart­ enough to boot you out on your fanny.  That stuff goes on in your ­teens and early twenties, but by the time you’re rounding the corner on your thirties, it’s time to understand you have ­responsibilities to others.

          If you like playing that kind of game at any age, have a t­it.  You’ll get laid and you’ll get burned and you’ll have some ­fun and you may or may not hurt someone in the process.  It’s a­ random chance deal.  We’re driven by our sexuality to various ­levels of satisfaction.  It might be noted that there are women out there to play the game at the level you want to play.

          For men searching for long term relationship, it’s best to ­be yourself.  If she’s the game playing type, drop her off after­ a few dates when it’s obvious and get on with your life.

          Be yourself so she will be herself.  If she isn’t, move­ toward a woman who is herself and plays it straight.
