Breaking news: For the first time ever, the government has overturned a local council’s decision to block fracking.

The announcement came through just moments ago. Fracking will be given the go ahead in Lancashire, near Blackpool, even though local council leaders voted to reject the industry last year.

What this means is that in a single move, the government has silenced democratically elected council officials, ignored 14,000 people in Lancashire who’ve said they don’t want fracking on their doorstep, and snubbed a 185,000-strong petition which called for the block on fracking to be upheld.

Please SHARE so everyone knows.

And if you haven’t already, click the link below to join the movement to stop fracking. We’ll keep you posted on plans to push back >> http://bit.ly/2e4QI5i
