Austria’s new chancellor, Sebastian Kurz, says that the European Union’s migrant quotas have failed and that he wants to change the European Union’s ‘flawed refugee policy’.

Kurz has now joined forces with the leaders of Hungary, Poland, and the Czech Republic; rebellious countries that have already refused to adopt the EU migrant quota scheme. Are Brussels and Berlin finally waking up to realities?

According to Kurz, it is “positive that Tusk (President of the European Council) and several European states are pressing first and foremost for decent border protection and spending more EU funds on this”.

Earlier the much despised Tusk grovelled as he confessed that the troubled scheme was “ineffective” and “highly divisive” in an address to an EU summit in Brussels this week.

With Austria joining Eastern Europe’s Visegrad countries, the anti-immigrant pro-Christian bloc becomes stronger and stronger and is a now serious form of opposition against the migration plans dictated by Berlin and Brussels. Earlier this week Poland and the Czech Republic’s new Prime Ministers also were critical of the EU’s migration plans.

Michael Walsh of the Ethnic European is delighted at the breath of fresh realism being inhaled by the EU’s rebellious leaders.
