Alabama and there are many folks in this area that have Chronic Lyme disease….including myself and hubby. Usually it is misdiagnosed as dementia, CFS, fibro, MS or one of the over 300 diseases that Lyme mimics…see http://www.lyme-symptoms.com for list. I’ve had Lyme disease for over 5 years and was infected with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever in Sept. 2017…another tick borne illness which is frequently misdiagnosed also and a person left with lingering symptoms for years/lifetime unless they find the right combination of herbs/lifestyle changes/etc. that boost the immune system to do the work God intended to keep us pain free and relatively healthy. Lyme disease destroys lives and most people become paupers trying to find something to help with the overpowering symptoms…last year along we spent 45,000. out of pocket and had to get a reverse mortgage to continue with treatments….Lyme disease , especially for those which are misdiagnosed (most are) is a long torturous “life” ….I read once that it rarely kills straight out…but always takes your life away. Most of the deaths from Lyme is suicide….pretty much says how painful and debilating it can be. To top it all off…there is a saying “no one gets it …till they get it”…so we are thought of as crazy complainers by family, friends,medical establishment…and left without hope or help. God bless us…this stuff is horrible and no one realizes it…or cares till they become a victim.
