Tim Donnelly’s SB277 Referendum Petition Requirement of 365K Certified Voter Signatures by Sept. 25 to Qualify for 2016 Ballot Is Looking Doubtful (Sept. 18, 2015)

I heard that well-bribed ($500k) tool of Big Pharma in California, Sen. Richard Pan, tell an audience of maybe 8 elderly people in a Youtube video recorded on Sept 8, 2015 that the SB277 Referendum petition had only acquired about 100K signatures so far and that it wasn’t going to get enough valid signatures in time to qualify for the Nov 2016 ballot. As a result of hearing that, I contacted the SB277 Referendum web site a few days ago to tell them that I would try to help publicize their petition campaign and asked if they could tell me how many signatures were needed to put the SB277 referendum on the ballot and how many signatures that they had acquired to date. At the time, I knew they only had ten days left to meet the September 25 deadline mentioned by Tim Donnelly in a recent Youtube video. After posing my questions in my email, I also complained how much trouble I had in trying to find a contact email address or contact link on their web site. I was looking through each of their pages and I couldn’t see the “Contact Us” link anywhere. I thought it would be at the top of the page, where other prominent links are seen, but it wasn’t there. I finally scrolled down to the very bottom of the Volunteer page and found it on the right side.

I got back a terse reply the next day telling me that the contact info is found on every page. No expression of thanks for offering to help publicize their campaign, none of my questions were answered (which is why I wrote them in the first place), and no name or title attached to the response.

I replied back that I did see the list of contact links at the bottom of other pages after I had sent my email, but placing the links at the extreme bottom of the page, below all other writing instead of the TOP of the page was not a wise choice. I also told them that I could now see that I was wasting my time by contacting them and would instead concentrate on other SB277 related web sites who were less arrogant and more appreciative of offers to help — which the SB277 Referendum web site SORELY needs — because whoever is running the show there, does not understand squat about internet promotion. I just saw a Youtube video today on Tim Donnelly’s Facebook page of a SB277 Referendum Update posted on Sept. 17, 2015. It only had 225 views. That told me everything.

Considering the importance and WIDE popular appeal of the SB277 issue, he should have had at least 2,250 views on the first day IF they were sending it out to 300 or 400 web sites, along with a mailing list gathered from their Facebook and GoFundMe donations page. But none of that is happening because of the brilliance of the people involved with Donnelly’s web site. They think that just posting the video on Youtube or embedding it on Facebook is all that needs to be done.

Apparently, the decision was made about TWO weeks before the September 25 deadline date to pay for professional petition name gatherers (talk about too little, too late). I remember reading on one of the referendum’s pages that was dated in July or August that they had intended to obtain 450K signatures! Right. They also stated that they were expecting to raise $750 K on their GoFundMe page, when so far they’ve raised $146K. I love these optimistic expectations and predictions from nameless individuals who talk a Big Game, but can they deliver?

Tim Donnelly deserves a lot of credit for putting together the SB277 Referendum petition initiative. It’s a Herculean task to obtain 365,000 certified California voter signatures when the law only allows 90 days from the date that Brown signed the despicable SB277 bill to file the petition with the state. You need people with Know How steering the ship from day one if you realistically expect to obtain that many signatures within such a short time frame.

And that brings me to a phone conversation that I had with attorney Tim Bolen (The Bolen Report) in April of this year when the SB277 Pharma-sponsored blitzkrieg was rolling through the California Senate and being rubber stamped by every Sellout senate committee, despite unprecedented, history-making crowds (thousands) of parents and their children showing up in Sacramento to protest SB277 (Tim Bolen did a great deal of definitive legal work to stop the government from railroading Dr Hulda Clark into prison for the great crime of trying to help people recover their health). When I asked him if he was going to get involved with the SB277 recall effort, he told me that he looked into it, but quickly discovered that the people who were involved with the various SB277 groups were far more interested in bringing in donations than doing what had to be done to kill SB277 or recall its sellout promoters. He knew the personalities involved far better than I and was less than optimistic about their ability to get the job done. I too see way too much emphasis on soliciting for donations on web sites like the SB277 Referendum than on reporting exactly what they have accomplished to date and how they plan to succeed.

I hope I’m wrong and Donnelly does get the minimum 365K certified signatures to put the SB277 referendum on the 2016 ballot because I have a strong feeling it would win and shut down this outrageous theft of Californians’ constitutional RIGHT to decide for themselves whether their kids will be vaccinated or not in order to attend school. However, it doesn’t look good. We should know within a few days of September 25 — one way or the other whether he got enough signatures or not.
