2012 Fantasy Football Start Em Week 7

Chris Johnson, RB, Tennessee Titans – With all the negative attention that Chris Johnson has been getting, people overlook that he has more rushing yards than Matt Forte, Fred Jackson and Darren McFadden. I know he hasn’t look like the guy from 2009, heck even from 2010, but he may be turning the corner. His best two performances have come in the past three weeks against the two better run defenses in the league; the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers. This week he gets to face the worst run defense in the league, the Buffalo Bills.

Chris Johnson owners are hoping that this is the week that we get to see vintage CJ2K because Buffalo has given up the most rushing yards (1,041) and touchdowns (9) on the season. His offensive line has looked better opening holes and creating huge lanes for the running back to run through. To all the fantasy owners that have endured the pain of having one of the best running backs produce nada, enjoy this week because it should be a memorable one, back to CJ2K. Week 7 Projections for Chris Johnson: 100+ yds and a TD.

Other Players to Start for Week 7

QB – Drew Bress, Ben Roethlisberger, Alex Smith, Jay Cutler, Matt Schaub, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tony Romo, Eli Manning

WR – Mike Wallace, Denarius Moore, Marques Colston, Randall Cobb, Vick Ballard, Lance Moore, Mike Williams, Andre Johnson, Kenny Britt, Steve Johnson, Antonio Brown, Victor Cruz, Jordy Nelson, Wes Welker

TE – Jason Witten, Martellus Bennett, Fred Davis, Scott Chandler, Jimmy Graham, Aaron Hernandez, Jermaine Gresham, Owen Daniels

2012 Fantasy Football Sit Em Week 7

Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Arizona Cardinals – The wide receiver has been on fire the last few weeks catching three touchdowns in his last four games and hauling in 31 passes as well. So why would you bench someone who has been torching defenses? It’s because his quarterback is a little suspect. John Skelton will be taking over for the injured Kevin Kolb at quarterback and Skelton hasn’t played since Week 1 in which he completed 14 of 28 passes for 149 yards and threw an interception. In that Week 1 contest, Fitzgerald finished with 4 receptions for 63 yards.

Fitzgerald and company will be traveling to Minnesota for Week 7. The Vikings have the 8th best defense in the NFL and will give Fitzgerald some trouble. The Vikings have a solid defensive line that will be attacking from all angles and with the non-existent Cardinals’ running game, Skelton won’t have enough time to find Fitzgerald. In his last four games, Larry Fitzgerald has hauled in 31 receptions for 363 yards and three touchdowns; it will take a miracle for that to happend this Sunday. Here are the Week 7 projections for Larry Fitzgerald: 4 rec, 54 yds, no touchdowns. Sit Larry Fitzgerald when setting your Week 7 lineup.
