(Before It's News)

Galantas Gold Corp (CVE:GAL, LON:GAL) is looking to process earlier than previously indicated at its Omagh gold property in Northern Ireland.

It announced on Thursday it intends to bulk sample the Kearney stringer vein at Omagh to determine the commerciality of underground mining of the vein, after grab samples ranged from 52.9 grams per tonne (g/t) to 6.2 g/t gold.

The dual-listed company said drill core from hole 159, reported on 24 August, intersected one metre of mineralisation grading 5.7 g/t gold and 6.2 g/t silver, some 50 metres vertically below the earlier reported grab samples and 11 metres south from the planned underground development decline.

The bulk sampling operation is designed to comprehensively assess the length, width and gold grade of the gold stringer at surface and it is expected to extract the sample and restore the surface within a four month period.

The processing of ore earlier in the development programme than previously considered may have positive cash flow implications, the company noted.

As a tail note to the announcement, Galantas said it had been advised that the judicial review of its planning consent application for an underground mine at Omagh will recommence in December, and is scheduled for December 6th through to the 8th
