Junior explorer Noram Ventures Inc (CVE:NRM) said it’s fast tracking its previously announced sampling work on its 2,709-hectare Arizaro  East Mineral Claim to be completed this month (December).

The firm has hired Gonzalo Javier Montebelli as exploration geologist to supervise the program in Argentina.

“We are very pleased to have been able to accelerate the sampling program which was originally scheduled for Q1 2018, the intial sampling results will assist our geological and exploration team to access next steps in a more comprehensive work program for 2018,” said Noram president Mark Ireton.

The company has already developed a surface and subsurface plan for a phase 1 exploration program on the 2,709 hectares as part of the currently approved environmental impact assessment (EIA) that enables basic geophysical and geotechnical exploration of shallow depth.

The Arizaro salt lake covers around 200,000 hectares, making it the third largest in the world. It is one of the few unexplored salars located within the famouse ‘Lithium Triangle’.

Other companies in the Arizaro area include Lithium X, Eramet, Sentient and REMSA (Salta government).
