Clean Coal Technologies begins assembly of Fort Union test facility in Wyoming

Clean Coal Technologies Inc (OTCMKTS:CCTC), which has a patented technology that creates stable, dust-free coal, announced Wednesday that it has begun the assembly of its Fort Union test facility near Gillette, Wyoming. 

The second-generation facility will incorporate new features and designs following the successful testing of its process in Oklahoma, the company said in a statement.  

Clean Coal Technologies said the changes are the result of close collaboration between its engineers and the University of Wyoming’s School of Energy Research.

The University in 2017 partnered with the company to help optimize its technology for coal beneficiation and for the extraction of coal byproducts – critical issues facing the Powder River Basin coal-producing region in northwest Wyoming and southeast Montana.

“We are very pleased to announce the start of the assembly process for what we’re calling our 2nd generation client test facility,” said Aiden Neary, the company’s COO. 

“This is a milestone event in our progress and is the result of over 12 months of process enhancement analysis and beneficiation optimization. The components and improvements in the coal beneficiation process and byproduct extraction engineered into our process represent first-of-a-kind, game-changing advancements that we believe will reverberate throughout the entire global coal industry.”

Clean Coal Technologies noted that Wyoming’s School of Energy Research is one of the world’s leading research institutions in energy technology, particularly in the development of coal beneficiation and byproduct extraction. The company also said its management will be prepared in the coming months to demonstrate its technology to potential customers and test international coal.

The New York-based firm is developing what could be the world’s first commercially viable and scalable coal dehydration technology.

The coal-converting technology puts lower-quality coal through a mild gasification process, removing moisture as well as coal’s worst pollutants. The company’s proprietary, Pristine M technology is the result of 10 years of intense research and testing.

Clean Coal Technologies’ stock recently traded up more than 5% to $0.08 on the OTC market.
