Have A Fuss-Free Christmas Feast With HoneyBaked Ham #HoneyBakedHolidays #Ad

Now that we’re back “home” in my NE Ohio hometown, I really look forward to Christmas. First of all, having any shot at a real, White Christmas is a very nice change. In Virginia, snow didn’t happen too terribly often, so winter traditions like sledding, snowmen, and having a yard blanketed in white, fluffy snow on Christmas morning simply didn’t exist. Here in Ohio, we get plenty of the white stuff. Plenty.

 But more importantly, I have family here in Ohio. I have grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, parents…In Virginia, we just did’t have that. I am glad I can give my kids a childhood filled with warm family memories. 

And…Well….I would be totally lying if I said I didn’t look forward to Christmas dinner. I am not a big Thanksgiving fan, because I am a freak of nature and don’t like turkey. I usually fill up on sides. It’s a sad, sad eating day for me. My family sure ends up happy, though, since they love all the Thanksgiving day foods! 

Anyway, pickings are slim for my tastes on “Turkey Day”. That’s okay. I reserve all those extra calories for Christmas. Mmm. Christmas. We have a tradition of picking up a beautiful HoneyBaked Spiral Sliced Ham and some decadent sides for Christmas dinner. These dishes come fully prepared, all you need to do is heat and eat. (Well, except for the ham. Their hams are actually best served at room temperature.) We get an amazing meal, and I don’t spend hours and hours in the kitchen preparing our food. It’s a win-win situation, if you ask me! 

When it comes to side dishes, I like cheese. I like a lot of cheese. So naturally, I picked up some creamy, cheesy sides for our Christmas dinner. Take a look at these Potatoes Au Gratin and Macaroni and Cheese. It’s a good thing these sides are family-sized. Otherwise, I wouldn’t share with anyone, and my kids would be pretty unhappy. 

We also grabbed some savory herb stuffing and Broccoli Rice Casserole. Yep. More cheese. I just couldn’t resist. Fresh broccoli and tender rice swimming in a creamy, cheesy sauce? Oh yeah. It’s so good. 

But the star of Christmas dinner would have to be a gorgeous, perfectly prepared, spiral-sliced HoneyBaked Ham. I would say I’d also eat a salad made from organic field greens, but I doubt that will happen. I want to save all the room in my tummy for the flavorful ham and cheesy, gooey sides. Oh, I am so looking forward to this. I may even skip opening gifts and head right for the food!

These must be big sellers, because when we visited the Chapel Hill location in Akron, Ohio, they were completely out of both. I suppose that means that they’re AMAZING, and we will definitely be heading there again between now and Christmas to pick some up. 

Another sinfully delicious dessert option at HoneyBaked Ham is their Gourmet Cheesecake Sampler. This generously sized cheesecake offers a little bit of everything. There’s plain cheesecake for the purist, as well as Cherry, Rocky Road, and Turtle for those who like a more creative spin on their foods. I am a plain gal myself, but I wouldn’t turn down any of these fabulous slices.
