Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! Today is the day that we celebrate love of all kinds. Whether it’s romantic love, love for our children, our even our undying devotion to our 4-legged family members, it’s always a great idea to show our affection to those we love the most.

We homeschool our youngest 2 children, so we decided to make some fun, healthy Valentine’s Day crafts, courtesy of the awesome folks at Halos. Halos Mandarins are an easy to peel, fun to eat fruit that my children absolutely love. These California-native fruits are seedless, juicy, and are non-GMO verified. They’re basically Mother Nature’s perfect sweet snacks!

They are versatile enough to make things like Yogurt Dipped Halos or refreshing smoothies, or you can simply peel them and eat them as is. There’s no wrong way to enjoy Halos. Added bonus: They’re totally guilt-free, and are a much more nutritional choice than candies or chocolate.

The awesome folks at Halos sent is an activity packed Valentine’s Day Halo Package, which included tons of fun things to help celebrate the occasion. There were product coupons, craft supplies, and even an adorable plush Halo, complete with hearts and yes, a halo and wings. Adorable!

We spent some time this morning making some super-cute Halos crafts. The kids used hearts, googly eyes, and pipe cleaners to make their Halos come to life. Of course after they admired their work for a bit, they worked up and appetite….Thankfully, their crafts were edible! A morning of Valentine’s Day crafts calls for a sweet treat, and Halos fit the bill perfectly!

Here are some more fun Halos ideas that you can participate in with your kiddos:

•   Make a cute Halos cupid with your craft supplies.
•   Show your sweetheart you care with a handwritten valentine
    gift-wrapped in hand-painted wrapping paper.
•   Cuddle up and take a selfie with your lovable Halos premium plush.
•   Whip up a Halos Breakfast Parfait to get your morning going, and
brighten your afternoon with Yogurt-Dipped Halos.

This is just a slice of the fun you can have with Halos! For more ideas, check out the Team Halos blog.
