Key events for the week ahead

Sterling remains strong against many of the major currencies, with a slight drop last week related to Brexit uncertainty following a leaked Government report.

This week there are a number of data releases that could impact exchange rates, including interest rate decisions for the UK, Australia and New Zealand, a host of PMI, trade and production related data for a number of currencies, as well as the UK GDP estimate from the NIESR. These are interspersed with employment data from the US, Canada, New Zealand and Switzerland.

As all readers are more than likely aware, this market is a strange one and still extremely politically driven, so do be wary of any movements regarding Brexit talks that may also impact the Pound at any time.

Below we have detailed some of the key data releases and events so you can keep an eye out for them.
