Cheapest Smartphones You Can Get Today

Mid-range phones have definitely come to stay even though the market is heavily dominated by the better flagship phones that pack performance and aesthetics properly into one. That being said, if you’ll like to just get a phone that’s cheaper but still quite effective, you might want to consider any of the following:

Moto G5 Plus

For the better part of the decade, the Moto G series were a serious force to be reckoned with when it came to cheap mid-range phones. TheMoto G5 Plus serves as anther addition to that trend. This year’s version comes with a sleeker design that’s bulkier. Although it might come off as boring, it still does a good job at making the phone look slightly expensive.

The Moto G5 Plus packs the Snapdragon 625 processing chip and although that definitely isn’t the fastest one around, only the heaviest games give it a serious issue. When you combine all this with a crisp 5.2-inch 1080p display, a fingerprint scanner, and a sizable 3,000Mah battery, you will definitely be able to attest to the phone’s efficiency.

However, the most impressive aspect of this phone is the fact that is comes with the Android 7.0 OS. There are n bloat and all the apps that are added by Moto are useful.

The camera quality is 12-megaapixels and although it tends to be a tad blur at night, it’s quite decent in daylight. There are two versions one having 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage (which costs $299) and another with a 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage (which costs $229).

iRULUGeoKing 3 Max

The guys at iRULU have definitely been going hard at the labs and thee product of their hardwork is pretty impressive. The GeoKing 3 Max features Android 7.0 (the best on this list) aswell as other impressive features like an Octa Core processor, a 6.5-inch screen with a 1920*1080 resolution, 3GB RAM & 32GB internal memory. All of these are pretty nice, but the price has to be the sweetest fact. The GeoKing 3 Max comes at a crisp price of just $200. Talk about real value! You can get a good discount as well with coupon code: GEOKING20 , 20$ OFF

Huawei Honor 6X

The Huawei Honor 6X, which costs $250, actually has a few selling points. It has a 5.5-inchh 100p scree, whichis bigger and more accurate than that of the Moto G5 Plus, it also has a thinner metal body, a lightning fast fingerprint sensor and a pretty stronger and long-lasting battery.

Most notably, it has a dual-camera setup on its back that allows you to adjust the phone’s focus and although it isn’t always accurate, it is quite impressive when it is. The camera also tends to do much better n low light than the Moto G5 Plus a well.

Ever, the Honor 6X also has a few issues. For instance, although Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 655 chip is fine, it still results in a few more breaks and fritzes than the Snapdragon. The display also lacks oleophobic coating, meaning that finger grease will easily get stuck on it. The entire packageis put on the outdated Android 6.0, further making its f the software much more complicated.

OnePlus 3T

For months, the OnePlus 3 was best value when it came to mid-range phones. This was mainly due to the fact that it didn’t really have a significant downside. It had a great metal design, a reliable hardware, a clean software, and an excellent 16-megapixel camera. Its 5.5-inch 1080p panel wasn’t all that great, but it could do fine as long as you can stay away from VR. The 64GB internal memory also did pretty well in the absence of any microSD card support. It was also frustratingly vulnerable to water damage but other than that, it was basically a $600 phone costing $400.

However, OnePlus decided to make an update the OnePlus 3T. It has almost the same fantastic look and feel, but it raises the processor bar to the Snapdragon 821. It also features a sharper front-facing camera and a longer battery life.

The major disadvantage of the OnePlus 3T is the fact that it costs $40 more than its predecessor; a price that seems quite harsh, especially considering that it didn’t really bring any major improvements. It also disappointed as it still didn’t feature a water-resistant property or the microSD slot. However, negligible price increase aside, it still passes as a great phone.
