NTEB RADIO BIBLE STUDY: Understand What New Testament Salvation Actually Is And What It Is Not

A young man wrote me an email this morning with an urgent question about salvation, hearing the morning message at church reiterate the same subject confirmed that perhaps this is what the Lord wants me to teach on tonight – understanding just exactly what New Testament salvation as found within the writings of our apostle Paul really is, and just as important, what it is not. It’s very hard for someone to get saved if they don’t know what salvation is, and it is very hard for a saved person to witness to a lost people without know about salvation.

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we will be taking a close look at just what salvation contained in the gospel of the grace of God actually is, Paul’s gospel for the Church Age, and starting with the first and most important point, which is how does a lost sinner come to receive salvation? Many, many people, saved people, are quite confused on this topic. Paul Washer says that you have to “beg God” “cry out”  to Him to have mercy on you, is that how someone gets saved? Ray Comfort says you have to “turn from your sins and repent” to get saved, is that how someone gets saved? The Catholic Church says you have receive “holy sacraments” and “confess your sins to a priest” in the hopes that maybe you won’t spend a lot of time in Purgatory? Is that God’s biblical plan of salvation?

Fortunately, God has provided the answer to these questions in no uncertain terms, and recorded and preserved them within the pages of your King James Authorized Version Holy Bible.
