Church Of Sweden Unveils First-Ever LGBTQ+ Altar Artwork Showing Gays, Lesbians And Transgenders In The Garden Of Eden Replacing Adam And Eve

The Church of Sweden has unveiled the country’s first-ever LGBTQ+ altarpiece, ‘Paradise’ by artist Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin

Adam and Eve are out at St. Paul’s Church of Sweden, and in their places are lesbian, gay and transgender people frolicking about without a care in the world. Now I know that while nearly 100% of our reader base will find this offensive and distasteful, and rightly so, I do not want you to miss the broader and larger picture of what is happening here in America with attack on the Church by the LGBTQ+ Movement.

“And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.” Genesis 2:8, 5:1-3 (KJV)

“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:14-16 (KJV)

Gay mayor Pete Buttigieg, who is one of the Democratic nominees running for president in 2020, has famously said that ” it’s time for us to move on toward a more inclusive and more humane vision of faith” in the Christian Church. Meaning that we need to throw all that stuffy, old King James Bible doctrine out the window and get with the LGBTQ+ times. And it is not just him, we see the same thing coming from Baptist pastors like this Op-Ed in USA Today, and even from the president of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Take a long, hard look at the ‘Paradise’ painting from the Church of Sweden, it could well be the new battleflag in the ongoing fight to tear down the Christian Church and replace it with an ‘inclusive’ vision. And from what I am seeing, the Church is not really doing anything about it. Today it’s a Catholic church in Sweden, but tomorrow it just may well be your local Baptist Church that falls into the end times Laodicean soup.

FROM PINK NEWS: The painting, titled ‘Paradise’, shows same-sex couples wearing fig leaves in the Garden of Eden and was created by the lesbian artist Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin. St Paul’s church in Malmö unveiled the altarpiece on the first day of advent (December 1) to create “greater inclusion and identification in the Church”.

St Paul’s said in a statement:

“It is with pride and joy that we receive Paradise in St Paul’s Church. We need images that open up for greater inclusion and identification in the church. We are grateful to Elisabeth’s artistry, which enables us to build a credible church that shows that we all, regardless of who we love and identify as, are accommodated in Paradise.”

One of the pastors at the church wrote on Twitter: “On Sunday, history is written. Sweden’s only LGBT altarpiece Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin is received by St Paul’s church in Malmö… We are so happy and proud!”

However, many on social media were upset about the celebratory and inclusive piece of art. One person wrote: “Not impressed. This is not about Christian values, but only political activism. Shameful!”

Another added: “This is an anti-Christian heresy that abhors the altar and the Eucharist. Those responsible should be excommunicated.”

Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin is known for causing controversy with her art among conservative Christians. In 2012, she recreated Leonardo Da Vinci’s The Last Supper but with a trans Jesus. When the piece was shown in Serbia, it had to be watched 24/7 by armed guards.

The Church of Sweden is known for being progressive when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights. The church began allowing same-sex couples to  receive religious blessings in churches in 2007, and has allowed same-sex marriages since 2009. 

In 2017, the Church of Sweden advised clergy to stop referring to God using male pronouns in favour of more inclusive language. READ MORE
