Celebrities Urge Fans To “Fight Trump”, Say They Were Only Joking About Leaving The US

(Before It's News)

As reported yesterday, among the extensive list of overly dramatic celebrities who vowed to leave the US if Trump wins the presidential election, was Amy Schumer, who  said in September that Spain would be her destination of choice.  “My act will change because I will need to learn to speak Spanish,” Schumer said in an appearance on the BBC’s “Newsnight.” “Because I will move to Spain or somewhere. It’s beyond my comprehension if Trump won. It’s just too crazy.”

Or maybe she meant London. It’s unclear, she may have been confused, but with their feet held to the fire, America’s celebrities are now furiously retracting, and according to The Hill, Schumer now says she was joking when she said she would move to London if Donald Trump was elected president.

“The interview where I said I would move was in London and was said in jest,” Schumer said in the caption of an Instagram post, which showed a picture of Trump and a debunked quote of the president-elect calling Republicans the “dumbest group of voters in the country.”

“Not that anyone needs more than a headline to count something as official news. Anyone saying pack your bags is just as disgusting as anyone who voted for this racist homophobic openly disrespectful woman abuser.”

First of all the interview where I said I would move was in London and was said in jest. Not that anyone needs more than a headline to count something as official news. Anyone saying pack your bags is just as disgusting as anyone who voted for this racist homophobic openly disrespectful woman abuser. Like the rest of us I am grieving today. My heart is in a million pieces. My heart breaks for my niece and my friends who are pregnant bringing children into the world right now. Like everyone else I am horrified that people believed these bumper sticker slogans filled with hate he spewed. People who voted for him you are weak. You are not just misinformed. You didn’t even attempt information. You say lock her up and you know something about the word email but what was in the emails? You have no clue. Well I’ll tell you if you were able to read this far through the holes in your sheet. They said nothing incriminating. Nothing. She dedicated her entire life to public service and got our children Heath care and education without discrimination. he didn’t pay his workers. Started a fake college. Ripped people off. Never paid his taxes and sexually assaulted women and on and on She would have taken care of us. I personally would have had to pay higher taxes. All the celebrities backing her would have. People asked how much I was paid to stand with her. Nothing. None of us were paid a dollar. We would have had to pay a lot more because we are fortunate enough to make a high income. But we all wanted to do it to take care of the people in need. She was fighting to take care of you kicking and screaming babies. Yelling about emails you know nothing about and not liking her clothes or her hair she wanted to protect you even you. Well you’ve gotten what you asked for and now you can watch the sky open up. Literally. I am furious. I cry for her and for all the smart people I love who know what’s right and I cry for you people who fell for shiny hats and reality catch phrases. She would have protected you. Today we grieve tomorrow we begin again. Yes this quote is fake but it doesn’t matter

Schumer who like most liberal celebrities, is a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton, wrote about how upset she was about Trump being elected to the White House. She said she is grieving and that her heart is “in a million pieces.” “Like everyone else I am horrified that people believed these bumper sticker slogans filled with hate he spewed,” she said. Yes Amy, it was the bumper stickers.

She then decided to piss off the majority of the US by slamming Trump voters: “People who voted for him you are weak. You are not just misinformed. You didn’t even attempt information.

Schumer also slammed those Trump supporters who shouted “lock her up” at the candidate’s rallies — referring to Clinton — saying they didn’t know anything about what Clinton’s emails contained. “You have no clue. Well I’ll tell you if you were able to read this far through the holes in your sheet,” she said.

“They said nothing incriminating. Nothing.” Well, actually, if Amy had read this website where for the past month we pored through thousands of Clinton emails, she would have found plenty incriminating things, especially about the self-professed criminal Clinton Foundation. In fact, there is a distinct possibility the FBI may still indict the Clinton Foundation, although it wouldn’t really have to: with the Clinton political legacy over, nobody would care to donate even $1 if there were no political favors to be had in return.

Schumer commended Clinton for “dedicating” her life to public service and helping children. She then again attacked Trump, saying he didn’t pay his workers, started a fake college, didn’t pay his taxes and sexually assault women. “She would have taken care of us. I personally would have had to pay higher taxes. All the celebrities backing her would have,” she said.

She said she had been asked how much she was paid to stand with Clinton, Schumer said. “Nothing. None of us were paid a dollar. We would have had to pay a lot more because we are fortunate enough to make a high income. But we all wanted to do it to take care of the people in need,” she said. “She was fighting to take care of you kicking and screaming babies. Yelling about emails you know nothing about and not liking her clothes or her hair she wanted to protect you even you.”

“I cry for her and for all the smart people I love who know what’s right and I cry for you people who fell for shiny hats and reality catch phrases,” she said.

The conclusion of her rant was bizarrely amusing even if it was not meant to be:

“She would have protected you. Today we grieve tomorrow we begin again. Yes this quote is fake but it doesn’t matter.”

It wasn’t just Schumer who was unwilling to let go of a now impossible future in which Hillary Clinton was elected president. In a series of tweets, other celebrities also attacked Trump and his supporters, some going as far as suggesting to “fight” for what is right.

Other slammed the “racist bed” that America has become, and were willing to “fight for our rights”:

The @notmypresident hashtag quickly become the rallying cry of despondent liberals across the nation:

Finally, in the most amusing tweet of all, Lindsay Lohan called for a recount.

It appears only 10,000 of her 9.3 million followers, or 0.1%, wanted a recount.
