MSNBC Anchor Admits “Our Job” Is To “Control Exactly What People Think”
During a lively discussion centered on fears that President Trump is “trying to undermine the media,” MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski let slip the awesome unspoken truth that the media’s “job” is to “actually control exactly what people think.”
SCARBOROUGH: “Exactly. That is exactly what I hear. What Yamiche said is what I hear from all the Trump supporters that I talk to who were Trump voters and are still Trump supporters. They go, ‘Yeah you guys are going crazy. He’s doing — what are you so surprised about? He is doing exactly what he said he is going to do.’”
BRZEZINSKI: “Well, I think that the dangerous, you know, edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media and trying to make up his own facts. And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think. And that, that is our job.”
As grabien points out, the comment failed to raise any eyebrows from her co-panelists. Instead, her co-host, Joe Scarborough, said that Trump’s media antagonism puts him on par with Mussolini and Lenin…

Anyone republican democrat or otherwise – who wants to silence the press and media is a DANGER to the people and our nation. We can survive a lying press, as long as we are allowed alternatives. But we can’t survive a state run media that doesn’t allow competing views.

Why hasn’t the trump campaign sued any network for slander/defamation then? It it was blatantly obvious they would have done so. Half truths are not exactly lies. Conservatives and liberals/progressives take cheap shots at each other all the time, hardely suprising. Trump is not special at anything until he proves it the hard way.
Real good try at justification bro, the only problem is what you contend is absolute hogwash! The news broadcasts coming out of the monopolized mainstream media networks are viewed by a wide rage of American viewers every day. Millions of Americans watch and wrongly trust that news which sadly is very often outright propaganda rather than real news. This misinformation alters human perception, it hijacks the narrative, which of course is precisely the agenda! Viewers react based on the faulty and deceitful dialog of professional lairs and manipulators in ways that are not always in the public’s best interest. Alternative media is not broadcast on television. There is no equal playing field. One must literally seek out alternative points of view and news information. Most Americans falsely believe there are laws in force that prevent the purposeful the propagation of propaganda on the American public, Nothing could be further from the truth. Our corrupt congress made it legal. In other words what you said is awfully inaccurate, it justifies the indefensible actions of an institution of trust that as a matter of routine breaches that trust with nefarious intent.

What “alternative media” are you talking about? I often see more truth on mainstream media than I see on “alternative media”. And I am not necessarily talking about news which have always been dishonest, I am talking about rich documentaries about all kinds of topics including the occult.

Now, there’s a phone call from Dave in Arizona. Are you there Dave?
Dave: Alan, I saw a really good movie. It’s called, There Will Be Blood.
Alan: Yes. I saw that one.
Dave: It’s pretty good.
Alan: It’s an excellent portrayal of a psychopath.
I am Alan Watt and we’re back Cutting Through The Matrix talking to Dave from Arizona about a movie which does portray a psychopath and all his… I can’t say good qualities. It does it in a very good way and that was Daniel Day Lewis, excellent actor for that kind of role. He’s able to do it very well.
People should see that movie to show you. It’s about an oil man starting off, really, and how he does it and how he KNOWS what the public expect to see when he’s getting money raised for the oil and so on. He had a son with him… and even that turns out to be quite an eye-opener at the end of the movie. He uses everybody to do his own bidding. He’s a complete psychopath in reality, but he had these gifts that all psychopaths have. They can charm people. They can manipulate others to do their work for them… and they get to the top because they’re utterly ruthless in reality.
Dave: He seemed like the kind of guy that was kind of normal in the beginning and then once he got the power, it sort of just overcame him.
Alan: Until you realize that even the son he presents to local town councils that raised the money for the oil and so on… The son, he simply picked up on the way and made up a story about the wife dying because they expected family men. And he’s a man with his child and all the rest of it. A very human quality. In reality, he didn’t give a darn about the child except for its usefulness to him.
Dave: It was a good selling tool.
Alan: He used it to the maximum. It’s not till the end of the story he tells the son this. He says, I picked you up on the way. [laughs]
Dave: He was an orphan. [laughs]
Alan: That’s right, but that’s how a psychopath is. They do intuitively understand what the public WANT to see. They don’t sit and puzzle over it but they intuitively know how to present themselves to the public and what the public wants to see and hear. That’s why they go in to politics.
Dave: They’re just good actors.
Alan: Very good actors and they have no conscience. That’s why they can promise everything and fulfill nothing. They have no conscience at all. In fact, the few books by honest guys who’ve left politics that talk about it say that the average person couldn’t be a politician because during election time any dirt that can be throw on you and any skeletons that are pulled out of the closet would SHAME the ordinary person. You’d run off the stage and never show your face again. However, because the psychopath will defend their ego AT ALL COSTS – their ego is all important – then it runs off their back like water from a duck’s back. That’s how it runs off them. It’s doesn’t effect them at all.
Dave: They’re definitely above morals and they’re above the regular human conscience.
Alan: Absolutely. Absolutely. Way above it. It isn’t till even the lower psychopaths are caught…. They’re very good up until they’re caught and then they’re so happy to tell the public or the news how they did it, how they got away with this and this and this, because they truly believe that they’re superior to everyone else. To an extent they are because they’ve always gotten what they wanted by using the people, using the system and generally getting away with it. They’re almost like sharks, in a sense, they’re programmed like sharks to simply go in to society and utilize ordinary, decent people to the maximum for their own benefits. They’re prime survivors. They’ll wipe out whole countries to save themselves if need be.
