Haiti Summons US Official To Explain Trump “Shithole” Comment

The Haitian government has reportedly summoned a US official to explain why President Trump referred to the island nation as a “shithole,” along with several other nations including El Salvador and some African countries.

Haiti’s ambassador to the United States, Paul Altidor, reportedly told NBC News contributor Yamiche Alcindor that he and the Haitian government vehemently condemn the US President’s comments, suggesting that they were based on stereotypes.

(note, Alcindor corrected her statement to read “formally,” not “formerly”)

“Haitians fought along U.S. soldiers in the Revolutionary War and we continue to be great contributors to American society,” said Altidor, an economist who attended college and graduate school in the U.S. after his family moved there.

Trump’s comment came after a bipartisan senate group had reportedly reached an “agreement in principle” on DACA and immigration reform in order to avoid a government shutdown next Friday, when the President “grew frustrated with lawmakers Thursday in the Oval Office” who proposed protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries” as part of the ongoing discussion.

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump burst out, referring to African countries and Haiti. Instead, he suggested that the United States should bring more people from countries like Norway.

Former president of Mexico, Vicente Fox Quesada, tweeted “@realDonaldTrump, your mouth is the foulest shithole in the world,” adding “With what authority do you proclaim who’s welcome in America and who’s not.”

CNN’s Anderson Cooper was in literal tears over Trump’s comments, while Don Lemon called him a racist:

“The president of the United States is racist,” Lemon said at the opening of his show. “A lot of us already knew that.”

Former Obama admin CIA Director John Brennan – who argued Obama’s CIA drone strikes in Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Libya and Afghanistan were legal, said on Thursday that Lady Liberty is “weeping” over President Trump’s “atrocious” comment.

Meanwhile, Pundit Mike Cernovich points out that none of the celebrities who threatened to move to Canada if Trump one ever picked “Haiti, Somalia or Liberia… Or even Mexico” to go to – noting that they “always threaten to leave for white nations.”

As The Gateway Pundit‘s Jim Hoft points out, “The sad thing about Haiti is it would be such a sh*thole if the Clintons would not have stolen money from Haiti relief to pay for Chelsea’s wedding.”

Curiously enough, it doesn’t appear that Don Lemon, Anderson Cooper or John Brennan have opined on that, or the fact that Hillary Clinton pressured Haiti’s government to suppress minimum wage in sweatshops, or how Haitians hate the Clintons for hanging the island nation out to dry after their 2010 earthquake.

Perhaps liberal pundits don’t understand that actions speak louder than words…
