Change comes with the force of energy. From an energetic perspective, how can we apply this force? We have all heard that famous phrase ‘Be the change you want to see in the world,’ but why do people keep going on about it and how does it work?

For many people, ‘be the change’ means to be a great example of an awesome human being so that others may be inspired into a new way of being. This is a great viewpoint that I have personally adopted on a number of occasions. However, there is another perspective, which is more from a soul evolution stance.

Everything in this world is made up of energy. That’s not just spirituality, it is science; specifically physics. When you embody and live what you believe in, you naturally pass that vibration of energy on to the people around you. It is this energetic perspective that can often go unseen, yet many other beings have the ability to sense.

We are all products of our individuality, but we are also made up of society and environment. We pick up other people’s energy as well as transmitting our own thoughts and feelings all into one space. It is this energetic perspective we can learn to recognize and apply.

Have you ever been around someone who is angry or anxious and come away feeling similar? Or have you been around someone who is a fizzing ball of happiness and found yourself just feeling so much better? Of course, we all have! We’ve all felt what the mood is when we’ve entered a room, whether joyful or worried, and we have naturally morphed into that space ourselves. Energy fills every space – inside and outside of us.

Whether we are conscious of it or not, everything is shared and usually it isn’t even a verbal exchange. Often, we are picking up other people’s feelings and not even realizing they are not our own as we just relate to the energy within the space. –Ever experienced the silent treatment? That’s a good example of being within a space, not speaking a word, but absolutely receiving the feeling. So, how does the communication of this energetic perspective connect with ‘be the change you want to see?’
