The Healing Power Of Marijuana Has Barely Been Tapped
Medical marijuana is now legal in 18 states, but it’s clear we’ve discovered a fraction of its potential for health.
There are now legal medical cannabis programs in 18 states plus Washington, DC, with pot fully legal for adults in two other states. Ironically, however, the actual healing power of the plant has barely been tapped. Smoking marijuana with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), or better, vaporizing it (using a device to bake the plant material and inhale the active ingredients), has an indisputably palliative effect and can be medically useful for pain relief, calming and appetite stimulation. It already has confirmed benefits against glaucoma, epilepsy and other specific diseases and disorders. It also gets people high. THC triggers cannabinoid receptors in the brain and this produces the sensation of being stoned. These receptors are found in the parts of the brain linked to pleasure, memory, concentration, and time perception.

It came to the West in the 1800s, where it was listed in the U.S. Pharmacopeia until the 1930s. The FBI linked the herb with insanity and claimed a direct correlation between cannabis and violence, and even death, especially when used by people of color.

I have to disagree with you on this one Anaon. Pot is food, no doubt about it, and it’s been missing from our diets for the past 100 to 200 years. As far as it being dope, there again, it’s up to the patient how he/she uses herbs, by drinking it from a juicer it not psychoactive at all and only get’s you “high” when heated either in brownies etc or smoke.. If cannabis were to be only discovered today in the Amazon, drug companies would be scrambling to market this “miracle cure”. There would be a Cannabucks on every street corner.
But since the end-game is to rid the planet of 5-6 bil people you won’t see in on any Trader Joe’s shelf anytime soon. Medical Cannabis has been estimated to be a $100,000,000,000 (yes billion) industry in North America alone right now. In British Colombia Canada the Provincial government has already released it’s estimate that it is a $7,000,000,000 industry in BC now beats fishing and farming and is our #2 industry, after tourism.
People on cannabis tend think think more lucid, maybe slower for some first time users or people who are highly sensitive and on an Indica, but you can get around that by choosing a Sativa over and Indica or even not getting high at all by juicing it. It only becomes psychoactive by heating it. Drinking it it is totally benign. It truly is a miracle plant.

Where I live we are trying to enforce mandatory pre employment drug testing that can tell what we’ve been up to for months.
I wear as much hemp as I can some days everything except socks are made from hemp. My hand cream is made from hemp some of my summer suits are linen my bedding too. I do prefer the grip and comfort of using hemp rope……. Just in my day to day.
I’ll tell you this for free. Products made from hemp are superior by a good sized margin compared to other natural or man made stuff.
Have we seen the video? Of the young mother who had career ruining endometriosis and after exhausting all known accepted medical possibilities she started juicing whole marijuana plants. She went back to work in no time. Not to mention getting off the bed for the first time in a long time which was a big thing in itself.
They would juice whole 30 day old plants and drink it. They weren’t about getting high as the plants didn’t even get to flower. I recall she had a degree and presented very well for a Drug Fogged Loser.

I’d love to smoke the stuff daily but I face anything up to 6 drug tests per annum. Sure I could cheat with a fake urine kit but some of these tests are random with very strict chain of evidence restrictions. By that I mean escorted to the test site and being patted down outside the toilet door.
But I’m told I’m a free man?
