There has been an upsurge in drug resistant strains of TB nationwide, particularly in the homeless population. Now a Virginia school is being investigated after health authorities found three people at the school have active cases of TB.
The Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) is investigating a tuberculosis (TB) outbreak at Robert E. Lee high School in Virginia to determine who may have come into contact with three people found to have active TB disease. The first per
son was found to active TB disease in December 2012 and two additional cases from Lee high school surfaced in June 2013.
According to a news release from the FCHD, approximately 90 people are found to have active TB disease annually. However, this outbreak is unique because two new cases surfaced at the same school, forcing the FCHD to reopen the December 2012 case. The FCHD is working quickly to figure out whether there is any link between them. morehere

I am a graduate of Robert E. Lee high school class of 1993. The problem there is all the dirty border jumping illegals. I currently live in Prince William County which up until about 4 years ago had the highest rate of TB in the country. We kicked the illegals out (long story) and many of them moved to Fairfax County. Now they have a TB problem. Go figure. But no one will bring this up in the news because Northern Virginia is owned, run, and occupied by PC communist democrats.
