An advertisement produced by Allegro, a popular Polish online auction, hits on this truth in the video below.
“English” was created by Warsaw-based agency Bardzo, and features an elderly Pole who orders a book called “English For Beginners.” The camera follows him as he dedicates his time to learning a new language.
The comedic and touching aspects easily draw one in, but it’s the question “Why is he going through all of this?” that causes one to watch to the end. If you do, you won’t be disappointed…

Allegro, a Polish company is the largest auction site in eastern Europe, but they weren’t the first. The first was Atlas, which was a joint venture between VOL, a Czech company and Microsoft. By around 1999, Microsoft withdrew its capital because they weren’t making any money, and that share was bought by Allegro in 2003 to form a new company named Aukro, now the largest auction site in Czech Republic and Slovakia. Allegro then set up other joint ventures with local companies in other eastern European countries, most notably when they formed Molotok, the largest auction site in Russia.
The reason for their success is simple: laissez faire, and low fees. That’s why I stopped selling on eBay because they were becoming the same police state that the US is becoming. I got suspended for trying to sell some Ryongsong (North Korean) pottery, and again for trying to sell a Nazi book from the 30s.
With Aukro, which is owned by Allegro, I’ve had nothing but success, mostly selling coins, handbags, and art. To be sucessful, long term you have to have your finger in every cookie jar you can find, and Aukro was one of those cookie jars for me. I’m proud to be a high-ranking seller on such a reasonable website.

What does lassaiz faire mean?
Basically it means letting the free market do its own thing, without intervention.
For example, if you have a seller who’s selling an item worth 10 Crowns, but he puts it up for 1000 Crowns on the odd chance that somebody will actually pay it, the laissez faire attitude means that the auction stays up, notwithstanding the fact taht the price is exorbitant. eBay is the exact opposite, where if an item is worth 10 Dollars and you put it up for 1000 Dollars, they’ll either suspend you, or, as happened to a friend of mine, BAN YOU FOR LIFE.
If you want to sell a gun in the US, you need all these licences and certification for boththe buyer and the seller, but in a laissez faire economy, a site like Aukro isn’t there to enforce the law, it’s the buyer’s and the seller’s responsibility to comply. Aukro is just a venue.
Laissez faire (pron. “lazay fair”) pretty much just means Free Market.

I tried looking for that particular book, however, I can’t even remember the title, but I would remember the book itself and the batch or crate it was in.
When I did research on it, I found that it was a book that Hitler had been reading right before he shot himself.
Problem is that I don’t even remember which language it was in. Most likely German, in which case I’d gladly sell it because I don’t speak German that well.
Another problem is that I have over 50 thousand books and not all of them are indexed. Don’t forget that I used to own a used bookstore. This book was part of a collection I acquired in CZ. I’ll try to look for more Nazi literature (all original 1st eds HC/wDJ from the 30s, no reprints) tomorrow.

Christmas or X-Mass as I prefer to call it, is a PAGAN holiday with it’s origins in Babylonian paganism, the birth of Tammuz on December 25. You cannot make a PAGAN holiday into a Christian holiday no matter how you try and justify it, in fact the word Babylon means to mix. Everything from the X-Mass tree to stockings, yule tide log, Santa clause, mistletoe toe, green and red colors all have pagan origins.
