This kind of talk expects you to play god, or makes ordinary people into little homonculi, or toys, like in the video game simulations.

Parity is not free market, but it has some humanitarian elements.

Ideally, parity involves the govt subsidizing the material needs of the people, rather than agents of population control and artificial scarcity.

    But, parity expects excess production.

You have the opposite kind of food emergency, in which surplus matériel benefits the undeserving, leading to societal collapse.

It’s the John B. Calhoun, lab rat utopia.

In the Biblical prediction, grain commodities are pared with time as the limiting factor.

Gold, silver, petrol, and, as you said, food, fluctuate in quantity,.

    Fiat currencies fluctuate.

    But, time remains constant.

“A measure (choinix) of wheat for a penny (dēnarion), and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”

denarius — From the parable of the labourers in the vineyard, it would seem that a denarius was then the ordinary pay for a  day’s wages

choenix — a dry measure, containing four cotylae or two setarii (less than our quart, one litre) (or as much as would support a man of moderate appetite for a  day)

One RDA of food energy. One day.
