Here’s a part of healthcare that Obamacare will NEVER supply. Really CARING.

News 9 in Oklahoma City reported November 5th that 28-year-old Dustin Weed was in trouble.  He was near the top of the recipient list for a kidney transplant; a waiting list he has been on for 4 years. Last week Dustin, who is on dialysis,  received a letter informing him that unless he came up with $2000 for post op organ rejection medication by mid-January, he could be removed from the waiting list.  He already had to quit his job and is on disability and did not have the funds.

He went so far as to stand on a street corner to begin to raise the needed funds. He got $27 in a day.  News 9 – OKC reported on Dustin’s plight. A follow up story the next day reports that thanks to people in Oklahoma who saw or read about his situation, the real  “We The People” of Oklahoma poured out the CARE in their hearts for another human in need. Now,  Dustin has the funds he will need should a kidney transplant opportunity present itself.

In the original report, it was stated, “Dustin is on Medicare that pays for 80 percent of his medical bills. Supplemental insurance pays the rest. Right now the National Kidney Foundation pays that $500 premium. But that will stop after the transplant.

And Dustin says he’s been told the Affordable Care Act would not help in this situation.“

So there you go. We now know  that should one need a kidney transplant, and a viable kidney shows up, unless one can come up with two grand, Nobamacare.  Figures.   Way to go Oklahomans! Good luck, Dustin!
