GOP Survival Depends on Immigration Enforcement

The Republican Party cannot survive legal and illegal immigration.  Republicans have a wolf by the ears and they can’t keep him and they can’t let him go.  They suffer their own demise as the numbers of immigrants increases.  They vote democratic for the “free stuff” given by that party.

An amnesty will kill the Republican Party.  It will change the entire demographic.

Not Amnesty and Here’s Why

“Left unchecked, Republicans appear to be heading off the cliff with a “solution” to their Hispanic voting problem that will be precisely the worst possible move, both for their party and for Hispanics,” said Stein. “To offset declining support, GOP leaders – and a disturbing number of conservative media figures – have begun to suggest a liberalization of their views on immigration by supporting amnesty for illegal aliens; unskilled, poor and government-dependent immigrants who will automatically vote for the party of big government. In so doing, Republicans will just create a downward certain spiral of demise of their own party.

“Republicans must understand their problem is not with Hispanics, per se, but rather with an immigration system that admits millions of poor immigrants.

“There are solutions. If the Democrat immigration strategy is use mass immigration to build itself an electorate of people who are down, dependent and voting for them, then the answer for Republicans may be to adjust immigration so it lifts people up.

“Supporting reduced immigration benefits Republicans and Hispanics because with fewer poorly skilled immigrants competing for scarce opportunities, it allows those already here a better chance to move up the socio-economic ladder and into a tax bracket where it might be in their best interests to vote Republican.

“And for the immigration we do have, Republicans must call for an end to the practice of issuing 1 million green cards each year to people simply based on the fact they’re related to someone already here, and convert our entire admissions system to a skills-based one.

“Hispanic assimilation, especially economic assimilation, can be aided by reducing immigration. We’ll have less people competing at the bottom of the economic scale, thus giving those there a better shot at upward mobility.

“And America might have a possibility of retaining its two-party system.”

Boehner Appears to Concede While Senate Restarts Negotiations

“The dust hardly settled after Obama’s reelection victory before Republicans initiated what must be one of the most dramatic knee-jerk reactions ever seen in post-presidential election politics,” said Stein. “House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) quickly announced he would consider “comprehensive” immigration reform in 2013. Speaker Boehner appears to be conceding to Democrat demands that amnesty legislation be on the agenda of the 113th Congress. This will likely satisfy his big business donors at the Chamber of Congress, but do little to help millions of unemployed and underemployed Americans sure to face more competition for scarce jobs from newly amnestied illegal aliens.

“Top Democrats praised the Speaker’s new-found commitment to “comprehensive” immigration reform. Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY), chairman of the Senate Immigration Subcommittee, called Boehner’s comments a “breakthrough.” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) declared that amnesty legislation will be a top priority for Senate Democrats.

“Senators Schumer and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) hit the Sunday talk show circuit to announce their renewed amnesty partnership. Schumer claimed the Republican Party had finally “learned that being anti-illegal and anti-immigrant doesn’t work for them politically.” Senator Graham basically acknowledged the same on CBS’s Face the Nation and said, “I intend to tear this wall down and pass an immigration reform bill that’s an American solution to an American problem.”
