Amnesty Bill Ready Just Because Big Business and Big Labor Cut Deal?

Everyone knows that illegal migration into the United States begins with the jobs magnet.  Everyone knows that hundreds of thousands of pregnant mothers travel to America to birth their children to gain instant citizenship for the child which gives them a free welfare ride of food, housing and medical care. 

Illegal migration starts, lives on and ends with the attraction of money.  Corrupt American employers use this 21^st century form of slave labor to create maximum profits in their factories,  farms, construction firms, hotel-restaurants, house painting crews and landscape labor.

Those employers undercut American workers, cheat the tax system and lay all the costs on American citizens who still work legal jobs.  Economist Edwin Rubenstein stated that, “Illegal alien labor costs American taxpayers $346 billion annually across 15 federal agencies.”  (Source: www.TheSocialContract.com)

Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, www.FairUs.org , spoke about the current immigration amnesty—a rehash of the defeated 2007 bill.  He spoke about how big labor and big business run the show in Congress.

“The final obstacle to a massive illegal alien amnesty bill has apparently been resolved – at least according to America’s largest labor union, the AFL-CIO, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,” said Stein. “The two groups have agreed to an immigration package that would include amnesty for some 12 million illegal aliens and admit anywhere from 20,000 to 200,000 low-skilled “guest” workers annually, all of whom may become permanent additions to our labor force through a pathway to citizenship.”

Not taken into account: we already suffer 47 million Americans subsisting on food stamps with another 14 million Americans actively seeking jobs already taken by eight million illegal aliens that work those jobs.

“With no input whatsoever from American workers, the public, or rank and file union members, leadership from both groups have acted as self-appointed arbiters of the public interest by proposing a sweeping amnesty bill with enormous and irreversible consequences for the nation,” said Stein.  “The AFL-CIO is prepared to gamble the future of the American middle class on the expectation that newly legalized illegal aliens can be unionized. Yet, in agreeing to a deal that gives businesses new flows of low-skill workers, America’s largest federation of labor unions is essentially adding yet another obstacle for unemployed and underemployed Americans when barely half of working age adults in the U.S. with less than a high school diploma are currently participating in the labor force.

“At the same time, groups with close ties to the Chamber of Commerce have already begun a well-financed effort to ensure that full implementation of E-Verify is delayed for years, or blocked altogether. And, even before the AFL-CIO and the Chamber of Commerce reached their agreement, groups that lobby on behalf of business interests began arguing that the guest worker increases being discussed were not generous enough.

“Special interest collusion is not consensus. The American public has yet to weigh in on the amnesty plans and an approved bill is far from a fait accompli. In the words of “Bluto”(John Belushi/Animal House): ‘It’s not over until we say it’s over.’”
